G. Edward's Salon And Tanning, Jeff Ayers, G. Edwards ripoff refused refund of service, ignore letters and calls, close location without notice Charlotte North Carolina
Facial, Pedicure and Manicure purchased over the phone from G. Edwards Salon Spa for anniversary present to wife. All totaled $103.00. Two months after purchase, G. Edwards closed shop location without notice and went out of business.
I located a G. Edwards Salon at a different location and spoke with Beautician that said to send letter with copy of certificate requesting refund. I informed the lady that a Gift Certificate was not issued but a credit was logged at the Carolina Place Mall location.(Which closed.) Only a receipt was mailed to me. I informed her that we have done this before with G. Edwards as a surprise gift for family and friends. She stated that should be fine because I should still be in their computer system, just make a copy of the receipt and send that attention to Jeff Ayers at the Brandywine location.
Since then I've wrote, emailed and left countless phone messages with owner Jeff Ayers. I then filed a complaint with the BBB who contacted Jeff Ayers. The BBB forward me a letter from Jeff where he stated he would would refund the purchases when I send him a copy of the certificate. I then replied (1 1/2 months later due to lose of child) to both the BBB and Jeff stating again as I have in my emails, letters and voice messages that I did not receive a certificate but just a receipt. And this has been done before.
This was 3 months ago. Nothing has been received, just a 3x5 card from the BBB asking to check the box titled "Issue Unresolved". The Owner Jeff Ayers does not return phone calls or respond to anything in writing. I have since filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency (FTC).
STAY AWAY from G. Edwards salons or spas! They will take your money and run, will close shop with zero notice and you are stuck with any gift certificates or receipts you purchased.
