Buyer Beware:

Gary Slusser of Quality Water Associates does not hold a license to service or install

Gary Slusser has advised people to install equipment illegally and improperly on many many occasions.  Mr. Slusser does not believe in plumbing codes or inspections.  Gary Slusser often advises his customers to install equipment that is undersized by code.

Below is a link proving my claims in my previous rebuttal. Nhmaster finally admitted to being wally hayes and peter griffin under the name 'another voice'. He also was posting as guest and dano6401. He has been banned under all the different names except guest.

The thread at the link shows his lack of character and agenda is to attack me personally, which is what he and a number of others have done here and in the Terry Love report he posted.

You sound just like the anti-DIYer plumber/inspector known as NHMaster AKA Peter Griffin AKA Wally Hays.

The first two were banned recently for posts like this and now AKA Wally Hays is on the way to being banned. That's since NHMaster sent me a PM last July threatening to get me banned. I'm still hanging in there and he has been banned twice and is on his way to being banned again.

Not entirely the truth

A quick search of DIY sites on the net will reveal that Mr. Slusser himself has been banned from countless sites for violating site rules, badgering and baiting members as well as posters and outright lying and editing his posts when he has been caught in either a lie or having given bad or false information.

Mr. Slusser has on many occasions gotten into heated arguments with licensed professional plumbers and even plumbing inspectors on the issue of proper sizing of equipment.  Mr. Slusser feels that the codes should not apply to him or his customers and that even though the code is quite clear in the matter, it should be ignored.  In short, anyone listening to or purchasing equipment from him should be very wary.

No license required.

#6REBUTTAL Individual responds

I am not required to have a license to sell or service water "filtration" or any other types of water treatment equipment and I don't sell well "pumping equipment", and I haven't for over 4-5 years.

The fact is that I have never been required to have any license for water treatment sales or service or well pump etc. sales or service. That goes back to 1987 when I started selling and servicing those products.

Yes I have suppliers that "drop ship" the products I sell. So do the vast majority of others selling the same type products and many other types of products online.

That greatly reduces the price the consumer pays for those products because it reduces my cost to get the product to my customer. And my prices are very competitive and for the exact same product, they are usually lower than many of my competitions' prices. When comparing a water softener you have to look inside and at all things things that are included, not just at the brand of control valve and size of the resin tank.

The claim of my advising people to install equipment illegally must be based on my questioning some codes, like those requiring over sized water main not to be reduced in size to make the plumbing connections for a water softener etc..

The claim that I undersize equipment is strange because I am constantly accused of over sizing equipment. But there is a code that requires sizing a water softener as if every fixture and water using appliance receiving softened water is being used at the same time. No one lives like that. That code also says it is OK to size for less peak demand flow gpm as long as the size of the plumbing connectors or softener doesn't cause a problem with pressure or flow in the system.

From what I've read here to file this rebuttal, the person that filed this 'complaint' may be in violation of the Terms of Service. That person is anonymous and as far as I know they are not a customer of mine. They are making general claims without offering any proof. And since I have been having disagreements in plumbing and water softener forums for a year or more where these same claims have been made by a few plumbers and two or three well drillers that have all been banned repeatedly and they blame me for that, although I can't ban anyone there, I see this as a personal attack for revenge.
