Dear Horatio, First may I say I am sorry you are unhappy with your credit line offered by First Inet Online. If you take the time to call our 800 number, we can refund your deposit and cancel your credit line. As of this writing, there is no record of you placing any calls to our customer service department. First Inet Online does not offer a credit card, we offer a credit line. We do offer a free computer with only shipping and handling required but it is not a Gateway nor do we claim that it is. We do not hide the fact that a 150 deposit is required. In order to apply for the card it is necessary to check a box with the following in big letters next to it: YOU MUST CHECK THIS BOX TO CONFIRM. By joining this program you authorize the Service Provider to establish a credit account in your name. You also agree to the following terms: You will be charged no fees for joining the program. You will also not be charged annual fees. A one-time $150.00 debit from your bank account is a non-cash refundable deposit on account with Service Provider which you may use to purchase future merchandise. You will receive via U.S. POST an introductory package including account identification material, ordering material, and three (3) One Hundred Dollar* Certificates. These Certificates may be used as payment towards your account balance that was generated by charging products. The certificates may only be used to make payments on the unpaid balance of your account generated by product purchases; certificates may not be used to pay on fees or finance charges. Secondly, I am sorry that you have a problem with Web Gateway, but I'm not sure why you are linking the two companies here. We don't know them and are not affiliated with them. Is it possible that you completed another offer online around them same time? I would suggest you call the customer service for that company to resolve that issue. Finally, I have to disagree with Rip-off Reports to say that the charge is unauthorized, as Horacio did authorize the charge when he filled ou the application, checked the box next to the approval to debit $150.00 and then filled in his banking account information so it could be debited. I would advise instead, that when anyone is considering any type of offer that they read the terms and conditions and understand thoroughly what they are applying for prior to submitting an application.
