You are wrong, you can change carecredit on the website to use any account # you wish...period. If you couldnt, it was either that you were not on the right webpage or something was haywire..... but the # to get to carecredit, can take a bit, so its usually wise to plug in the cellphone on charger and wait on them. Besides $500, is not that much, you could have easily paid that. I was working as a pizza guy at 19 and made that much a week (1975-1980) initially. Sounds more like you didnt do what was needed on paying for it. Also, the customer service while a bit slow to connect isnt that big a problem once you get in. Sounds more like you didnt work with them to fix it.

Dear El Paso, I know you are frustrated but welcome to the world of credit cards! they must be paid monthly on the due date to avoid additional charges. There are terms and conditions you must read in order to be sucessful in completing them without penalty. It sounds as if you jumped into an agreement that you could not afford to begin with when you purchased a puppy, then again when that puppy became sick and the vet offered you an alternative to paying right then and there. It was not a malicious act to pull you in but an option you chose to take in order to pay that balance of within 12 months without interst. The problem then lies in the fact you did not stop to read the terms and conditions. Care credit did not do this to you, you did it to yourself. Yes, they can be difficult to work with at times but when you default you are dealing with collections agents...they dont mess around. Care credit did not sell anything, Care credit is and has always been backed by gemoney? it is on your statements every month. So, you are responsible for your credit rating. You are the only one that can fix it, and in the future....read the contract any time there is one to sign for ANYTHING. all the best.
