Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I had 2 computers that needed repair. One I knew had a virus the other I wasn't sure about but had a detailed description of what the computer was not doing and the error messages I was recieving. First thing off they wanted to sell me the repair pkg for $150 which would fix up to 3 computers good for 1 yr. I figured since I had 2 computers that needed repair I would do it. I got the first computer fixed no problem since it was a virus. The 2nd computer is where my complaint lies. First they had to send it out to their 3rd party repair place which the turn around time for that was about a week. I use my computer for online courses so if I would not have had my back up computer I would have been extremly upset. This 3rd party place was supposed to call me with what the issue was and let me decide whether to repair or not before they sent it back to best buy, but no call. The diagnosis was a bad hard drive and that the motherboard was faulty because one usb port was bad. I'm not a computer expert, obviously but this computer has 6 usb ports, I am ok without one in my opinion. I opted not to have the work done at that time because I wanted to think about whether I wanted to put money into this computer or just buy another one.

About 4 moths go by and I have decided to let geek squad replace the hard drive for anothr $150. When I got to the geek squad desk I noticed all new faces except for one guy, Matt which is the same guy that sold be the service package to begin with. Even with all the times I've been up there with these issues and the amount of time I have waited in line I have always been nice. Matt had attitude from the begining of our transaction that day and that was the final straw. He goes in the back to talk to someone and comes back out to tell me about the motherboard being bad too. Which I already was aware of but as I had previously discussed with Michael ( a manager) that it was just one bad usb port. I understand that could have gone anytime too. The point is, I was ready to repair the hard drive and Matt's unhelpfulness just completly changed my mind about the whole situation. I would never never use geek squad again nor will I shop best buy and I will tell everyone I know!
