MY FIRST E-MAIL BACK TO AREA RECORDS FOR REFUND:

Dear Records Area:

I signed up for your service last night July 15th, 2007. I attempted to do a couple of searches, and I came up with NO RECORDS, however, your system took away 2 credits from my Standard Premium Membership. You state that when NO RECORDS are found you are entitled to a refund.

At this time, I would like to receive a refund of my initial fee, and cancel my Membership with Records Area. Also, while I am cancelling my membership, I want to take my Credit Card Information off of your system.

Please inform me as to how I go about my Cancellation, taking my Credit Card information off of your system and receiving a refund.

Unfortunately, I did not find your website helpful at all.

Thank you for your anticipated cooperation,

L. Brown

This is just "1" of AREA RECORDS REPLY TO ME after many attempts to cancel with their customer support area!

Dear User,

By canceling our service and refunding your payment, you understand you will no longer be given access to your members account with new upgrades just around the corner.

At this time we would like to encourage you to re-consider canceling your membership as new upgrades will be coming soon. As a member, you'll receive ongoing Lifetime upgrades, including new databases, added records & new features.

In addition, we will also add 10 premium search credits ($29.95 value) to your account free of charge for staying a member. If you would like to remain a members and take advantage of new databases, added records, new features, and would like us to add an additional 10 premium search credits to your account, please kindly reply to this email "I would like to stay a member".

Sincerely,

Josie

Records Area Support

Today is August 13th, 2008 and I have tried and tried to send them e-mails and now they won't respond to me at all. At this point, all I want is a membership cancellation in writing. I'll take a refund, but I don't see it happening. I want to know, in writing that my membership has been cancelled with them and they do not have my personal and Credit Card Information on their database.

Is that too much to ask? This site is a TOTAL RIP-OFF!
