Great Atlantic Warranty - Dealers Warranty, Be Aware, I recieved a second sales pitch from Missouri, same warranty, different company Boca Raton, Florida & St. Charles, Missouri Florida and MIssouri
I wish I had looked here first, today I am sending in an odometer reading to officially cancel my policy in Florida. I had only one claim and it was denied also, now I am afraid I won't recieve any of my money back and I was hit for a couple thousand dollars, financed through MEPCO. The reason for my cancellation of this policy was that my mechanic said it was virtually worthless and becasue I recieved another dealers warranty card from anothere company in Missouri. Stating on the phone that their policy would have covered my claim filed with Great Atlantic and their policy is better. Offering 0% financing, starting the 5 year warranty over for less money. They told me that Great Atlantic would have to send me a prorated refund legally and I could use that money to pay for the new policy. Stupidlly, I said ok and authorized a start up payment to the new company.
BE AWARE, that the policy information I recieved came in the same information packet that Great Atlantics Warranty came with. Immediately I called to cancel the policy and did not use the product they sent in the mail, they told me to immediately use this product in my vehicle to ensure policy coverage. This company is out of St. Charles Missouri. After reading some of these reports I am also calling my credit card company to make sure that the new company does not make any charges to my credit card. I wanted all to be aware there is a new company with a new scam!
