Great Expectations Great Expectations Ripoff Dating Service Chicago Illinois
I joined this service years ago, but I see that I was not the only victim of this continuing fraud. I am recounting my story of their practices, so if any policies have changed apparently the fact that the customer is ripped off hasn't.
Anyway, this company high pressure sales talks you into joining with the promise of "introductions" to their members. You're allowed to browse a photo catalog/video of opposite sex members, and make your selections from there. Likewise, they take a photo/video of you for others to browse. Here's the problem... you pay a high priced flat fee for a fixed number of "introductions" and there is absolutely no guarantee the person(s) you selct will be interested in you, or that you will be selected by others! In short, you're no better off than trying to pick someone up that strikes your fancy in a nightclub or any other environment for that matter. Of course the company omits the no guarantee of ANY dates factor during the sales pitch. Kinda takes the "Dating" factor out of the service huh?
Now, in all fairness I suppose there are some success stories to be found amongst the thousands who weren't successful. However, if you're not one of the lucky few, you're OUTTA LUCK, and out some SERIOUS CASH, which of course will NOT be refunded no matter how much you complain! Don't waste your time or money with this company. As evidenced by the complaints here, it is a RIPOFF!
