I am writing this complaint because I am frustrated and fed up with Greystone Property Management of Oceano Warner "luxury" apartments located in Woodland Hills, California.  First and foremost, from the onset I should have known that something was foul with this company.  In less than 3 months of operating, they we have seen managers come and go without explanation.  Each time a new manager comes onboard, a promise is made but is later broken. I was promised that my first full month would include a 2 week deduction for being the first to move in.  Well when the rent was due, my full month rent was listed.  Following the guidelines established by Greystone, I contacted them via email on the first of the month politely asking that they adjust the rent as promised.  I heard nothing from them.  A few days later, I was speaking to various tenants who advised me the same thing occurred to them.....incorrect billing.  As in my situation, they attempted to contact the onsite management but never received a return call.

Frustrated, I approached the "acting" building manager from another property and explained my situation.  He advised me that he would call me back by 12 noon with a resolution.  15 days passed and I heard nothing. Because I travel often with work, I returned home and found an eviction notice on my door.  This infuriated me. Not only did I email them in advance, but I also physically contacted the manager regarding this issue.....no one ever returned my call nor bothered to get back to me.

Once again, I approach a different acting manager onsite who found my original email in the deleted box.  Without explanation he stated to pay the rent in full and contact them again via email to get the proper credit.  What kind of s**t is that?!

Secondly, Greystone claimed that this property is eco friendly.....it's not.  They claimed the walls are so insulated that you can't hear anything......I hear the door closing from downstairs all the time and I'm located on the 2nd floor.  I also hear people talking at a reasonable level in the hallways all the time from by bedroom.  This place is cheap and clearly constructed in a hurry.

Next they promised me a certain square footage....it's not what's listed on the master floor plan and not what I'm paying for. This in itself is fraud.  I have contacted the City of Los Angeles to come out and inspect my apartment because I believe some serious fraudulent activity is occurring within this company. And judging by the reviews left by other tenants and the vast complaints of my current tenants, I believe no one should move here until you speak with actual tenants and consider all the reviews posted online.

I am beside myself with this property......if they offered me by rent deposit I would be gone by tomorrow. Oh the clubhouse they offer closes at 10 PM which means if you are on shift work or want to take advantage of the gym, theater, etc....you have to do so before 10 PM because the clubhouse is locked.  Since when did I return to high school where I can't even use my gym whenever I would like to?  This is ludicrous.
