Headwind Media Inc CMI Exclusive MO Fee HBS Billing Services UnAuthorized HBS Billing Services and Phone Charges, Internet
I received my lastest Verizon phone bill today and noticed that on 12/07/09 I was billed by HBS Billing Services on behalf of Headwind Media Inc CMI Exclusive Mo Fee for a Social Online Celebrity Media website monthly fee. I never ordered this service and phone their contact number a few times but never got through. On the last attempt a woman (with a strong accent) answered and told me that the way a client signs up for this is through an email offer.
The email address she told me that was used was an email that I had used back in 2004 (with Yahoo) but had closed the account in early 2005. I opened another tab in my browser (while on the phone with them) and verified that- yes indeed- the (Yahoo) account still was closed!
The woman told me she would cancel the account, gave me a confirmation number and told me I wouldn't need to send the money along with my phone bill. I contacted my Verizon office- however they still insist I send the money that HBS Billing Services is demanding.
I contacted HBS Billing Services and I gave them the confirmation number and now they have no record of the confirmation number I was given!
This is a Ripoff!
