I wrote cancel across the renewal form after one year subscription ended to Popular Mechanics Magazine.  Had too many magazines coming into the home.

The cancel-renewal form was mailed back to Popular Mechanics subscription service in July 2012.

As of November 2012, I am still receiving magazines from Hearst Corp. (Popular Mechanics).

In researching the internet it revealed that my experience is not alone and that Hearst Corp. does abusive subscription practices with other magazine concerning ladies interest as well.

I contend that Hearst magazine subscriptions service tries to goat subscribers into continuing with their subscription or running the subscriptions for additional months and waiting for the customer to complain again and then attempting to charge the customer for the additional magazines delivered but were never ordered.

In my opinion, Hearst feels either way its a "WIN-WIN" for them using an automatic renewal system and disregarding the customers request for cancellation of subscription services.
