Purchased green mesh roll 3' x 25' for $16.38. Purchased 2 posts for $11.98. Girlfriend had receipt in purse 40 miles across town when I wanted to exchange these items I was only offered the "lowest sale price on these items within 90 days." Although the sticker on the items clearly stated the current prices. I unwillingly accepted the offer as time was becoming a factor. Upon my return with receipt in hand and looking for the rest of "my money" I was shot down by 2 individuals who seem to get enjoyment out of "proving the customer wrong."

However in this situation I was right, and they both knew it but decided to make the rules up as the go along. They refused to refund my $8 and used the excuse that the transaction was complete. However, in this situation, I feel that an entity as large as Home Depot should have stepped up and corrected this situation. The people I had to deal with clearly had little to no management skills. I have taken an oath to inform everybody who will listen to me about this situation.

The bottom line is that I paid $30 for these items less than 5 hours prior to my return and only received $22. Yes, it is only and $8 difference but very unfair seeing how I had just given them the full amount for these items. Basically, they stoled my $8 and refused to refund it. How many other people does this happen to all over the United States everyday? Could really add up. I, nor any of my family members, nor any of my friends will ever shop at Home Depot again. I will tell everybody I know, and they will tell ten people, who will tell 10 more people.........Home Depot, you suck.

The associate who assisted you at the returns desk was incorrect in their procedure and in their refund method to you. Take your original receipt and your refund receipt back to the store and speak directly to the store manager. His/her picture should be posted in the store, so you will recognize that person. Home Depot's return policy is to refund to you, the entire amount in the manner in which it was paid. The fact that you did not have the receipt with you the first time does not negate this policy. The store manager will refund the balance due to you because it is their corporate policy so to do.
