Home Improvement Aka Sears Home Improvement ripoff this $2 debt has bloated to over $290 owing to late fees, etc. SPOKANE Washington
In July 2005 we thought we had paid off our home improvement credit card bill with Sears aka: Home Improvement Retail Services. It now appears there was a $2 error in their favor. Unfortunately I flew to Florida after the hurricanes to help my family rebuild and later when my father was hospitalized for cancer and this $2 bill was overlooked.
Since this time this $2 debt has bloated to over $290 owing to late fees, etc. In addition, because of bad credit reporting by this company it looks like the interest rate on my other credit cards is going up.
All over $2 ???? Their customer service (1-800-420-5981) out of City of Industry, CA were very uncooperative in trying to resolve this.
We were told our Sears debt had been sold to "Home Improvement Retail Services." Their representatives could not resolve the problems either.
