"...the minute she goes downstairs and the laptop is sitting on the coffee table she comes back upstairs and there is this damage! Never fell, wasn't closed nothing touched anything and the screen just changed to these images..." - Sorry but this is impossible. From the description of "ink blotches and lines" she had a cracked LCD Screen. This does not just all of the sudden happen because of some hardware issue, with a computer just sitting there. So you have someone in your family not telling you the entire truth. Yes you can crack the LCD without any visible cracks. So it was "cracked" when you sent it off. Warranties(at least one I have ever seen) never cover this damage. "...She's the consumer she purchased it but you refuse to talk to her about the issue funny I don't remember signs saying you must be over 18 to purchase this product!.." - True but I bet you were in the store when she bought it or did you just let her carry around almost $600 cash, borrow the family car, and do her own shopping? LCD screens are the thing most likey to be damaged, as they are really the most exposed and the biggest single component on the laptop. They are also unfortunatly the most expensive part of a laptop to replace.
