Not sure if you did this or not, but to receive the $10 credit, the new customer needs to bring in the coupon that is given to the existing customer at the completion of their return. Then the new customer gets a coupon discount which ought to be reflected on your receipt, and the existing customer gets their credit as a mailed rebate check. Without the coupon that has the right codes the referral isn't verified. I haven't seen any advertising about you paying nothing if they mess up your taxes, so I cannot comment on that.
