Hugh C. Mayerhoff, III DEADBEAT DAD Northridge California
Hugh Mayerhoff is a deadbeat dad who has not seen or even tried to contact his children in over 5 years. He abandoned his family in 2002 and left us with massive debt stemming from his 5th failed business (there are already several rip-off reports from that business posted here -- check Stop Shoppe Brakes and Service, Kissimmee, FL). At present, he owes over $69,000 in unpaid child support. He has never made even one payment.
He is a con man who specializes in charming women into either covering for him or hiding him -- he rips them off for money also. If you are a woman currently in a relationship with him...watch out! My guess is that he puts all the bills and such in your name instead of his own. This makes it easier for him to hide and also makes it easier for him to disappear leaving you holding the bag. He is very charming and an extremely accomplished liar.
He has already been traced to Las Vegas Nevada (he fancies himself a big-time gambler), Cabo San Marcos Mexico and has been spotted in and around the casinos in Gulf Port Mississippi and Atlantic City. Currently he is working as a web designer and is last known to be living in or near Northridge California.
As recently as April of this year he was romancing a woman in S. Georgia (the widow of a former friend) and hiding out there. His father passed away and he needed to hang around long enough for the probate to settle. At present, he HAS the money to pay what he owes in child support, yet he is still selfishly "hiding".
He may also be traveling/living under an assumed identity and social security number. He is 5'10", heavy set with blond/balding hair. He carries a large, 5 inch, surgical scar across the middle of his back and has skin grafts inside of his left ankle from a motorcycle accident.
I am asking for help in locating this deadbeat. If you have any information on his current whereabouts, please post here or respond to my email. Any and all tips will be greatly appreciated and followed up. The man can't hide forever...

It seems that Hugh Mayerhoff continues to be a very bad boy indeed! He was arrested in Las Vegas NV this past April on forgery charges. It also seems that he neglected to appear in court for sentencing and a bench warrant has been issued for his arrest. If you have any info as to his whereabouts, please, let someone know! You can post your tips here, or you can contact FL Dept of Revenue Child Support or the Las Vegas Police or Sheriff's Dept. He's still out there playing the same old games and ripping people off. Help us stop him!

***UPDATE*** Hugh Mayerhoff a/k/a deatbeat dad of the year is still managing to elude paying any support for the children he abandoned and hasn't bothered to contact (or attempt to contact) in nearly 7 years now. Currently he is skiirting the gulf coast of the US (from Texas across to Alabama) and working in construction. He is either working on off-shore oil rigs or he is working as a mechanic or in other contruction-type jobs and traveling along the gulf coast picking up jobs in shipyards and the like. He was last known to be in New Orleans. He goes by the nickname P.K. which stand for "Philly Kid" or "Philadelphia Kid" and is currently sporting a goatee. To date, he is in arrears over $70,000 on his child support. You can't hide forever, Hugh, and you can't keep pretending you don't have children that you are responsible for!
