Imperial Majesty Cruise Line Phone Call for Questionnaire Leads to Fraudulent Free Cruise Plantation Florida
I received a survey call. It said if I answered these questions I would get a free cruise. Sounded too good to be true, but I answered the questions. Rather random consumer questions.
Then an operator called to verify that I would be hearing from someone re my free cruise. She specifcally asked me if I had a credit card. I said I had a credit card but did not reveal such information over the phone. She said she didn't need the number; just that I had one.
A week later, Don called from Imperial Majesty Cruises. Told me all about the cruise and what I'd get, and all I had to pay was the port charges which were $59 per person and since the cruise was for 2-4 people, I needed to pay $118. I questioned that he should think I would give him a credit card over the phone for something I received from a previous phone solicitation. He said, "Well, I get off work in a few minutes. You wouldn't think you would question such a small amount of money when you are getting a whole free cruise." I became suspicious and knew that I was being"had". I told him I'd been on many cruises and I never heard of the Imperial Majesty company - and sure enough, they are not CLIA members. WATCH OUT! THIS IS NOT LEGITIMATE!
