Inmate Call Solutions Deceptive marketing, has disclaimer on the cancellation page proving that its knows its deceptive internet
Inmate call solutions used deceptive marketing to get people to sign up for their service. ICS promises savings of up to 80% and unlimited minutes using there special local ICS number. What they don’t tell you is that you have to have a long distance number to save anything. The carrier still charges a per minute fee so the unlimited minutes applies to long distance numbers only. The below disclaimer is on the cancellation page
“Our website clearly states in several places that our service will only save you money if your present number is long distance. If you choose to sign up even though your number is already local (even if the service was not used) we do not issue refunds.”
They obviously know the website is not clear and there is an on going issue with people falling for their deceptive verbiage. This disclaimer should be at the top of the sign up page in flashing red letters. Of course if it was they would not be able to rip off as many people. Personally I find it disgusting that a company would prey on people that are already struggling and on those that are trying to support them.
After numerous attempts to contact them with little success I decided to file a complaint here and with my visa company. So I spent 74.00 and got nothing.
