Had 2011 Taxes prepared Dec. 2011 with last payroll check stub, applied for loan, ad says everyone guaranteed.  Received only $100. Questioned tax preparation fee was told by Yadira (mgr), would have to call at later date because fees hadnt been calculated because taxes will not be E-File til Jan 2012. Began calling in Jan 2012 no answer, left msg no call back. Went into Irving, TX location sign Efile form and applied for RAL (Refund Anticipation Loan). Again, question fees for preparation told by Ms. Hawkins bank fee would be $99 unsure of preparation fees.

End of Jan 2012 began contacting office inquiring whether approved or no answer at Irving location finally got thru to Arlignton location (same owner). Spoke with David was told not approved for RAL questioned preparation fee told to call back in 1 week. Question him about amended tax for school told me to wait til I received first refund and maybe we can get you more money.  "How?" I ask. "Did you do hair last year on the side?" David, asked.. "No!!"

I said, I only had one job and one W2 form from 2011.  Contact Corporate Office in Dayton, OH 888-648-1040, told by Jada that fee would be $273.00 which included $100 loan. Jan. 30 & 31 went in Irving office to pickup check Security Guard met me at door made me sign in both days spoke with him briefly found out they had to get security because customers were becoming upset about refunds.

One customer he said threaten to quote "Shoot up the place." Feb 1, 2012 went into Irving office to pick up check received check (minus) -$652.95, I questioned fees only to be handed a Projected Checks Sheet I had never seen nor signed, then I was told to David, now manager would call me. I left the store and filed a report thru the Better Business Bureau and the Public Trade Commission.

2 weeks no call, no answer at Irving store. I called Dallas store (Buckner Blvd-same owner) spoke with Marisol told me to contact David on next week he would be in Irving store, I called finally spoke with David, who said I could pick up check on Friday.  Called Thursday no check, David I was told was at another store.  Went into location on Thursday 3 week later spoke with Veronica, now she claims to be manager, says David is at Dallas store, used cell phone called Dallas store while in Irving store on speaker spoke with Marisol again who say David is now no longer with company.

I said, "That's strange Veronica who says she a manager filling in for David doesn't know he no longer with company." She quickly began to say "I can't help you, I am with a customer." One month later in March, I received email from BBB, with no response from company and I also received a phone call from a BBB representative asking me to do an on camera interview with a news television station, by the time I returned her call she had already gotten someone to do the interview.

I began to contact the corporate office in Dayton, OH who would not give me owner's name and was told the company was franchise and there was nothing the could do to resolve my problem and that it was up to the owner to reimburse any fees.  I continue to call 888-648-1040, received several different response from we will contact owner, to you will have to keep calling, leave messages or email them yourself.  Since then I have emailed owner with no response. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND INSTANT TAX SERVICE TO ANYONE...

Even though it seems as if you are getting no where with them.  File a report with the Texas OAG on line as well. The Feds have already started an investigation and lawsuits in 5 states. Let your voice be heard! PLEASE report it to the OAG because Texas may be next in line for a lawswuit! If these people open up for tax season next year I swear I will be the one outside their office with my sign boycotting the bussiness! Monica responded to my BBB complaint. You lucky they offered you 100 they offered me $50 out of $600 in fees! I took the $50 and still arguing about the fees. I didn't take the $50 to settle the debt, I took it because they gonna give me that and then some! Goodluck to you.

After contacting  the BBB February 2012, I  received a response the file closed on March 5, 2012, for no response from the Business. Later,  March 28, 2012 I received an email from the BBB, that a letter of response from Instant Tax,  Monica Kart, Relations Manager dated February 21, 2012 but BBB stamped received date of March 27, 2012. The letter was poorly typed,  stating that I signed copies of Company Expectaton Letter, Loan and Rapid Anticipation Loan agreements. The letter, also stated on this occasion they will accept the fact that guidance and communication from their staff had not been met and they had not succeed in meeting my expectations.  In light of this they have decided to waive their fee of $100.00.  $100.00 out of $552.00 are they serious??? I replied with a none acceptance. They have admitted that they dropped the ball in communication, which I agree with. In her letter she stated their mission as:

Instant Tax Service is a community first organization  Our mission is to provide unprecedented service to our customers and their families and to strive to make a difference in the local communities where we have a presence.

My answer to their so called mission statement is , it is only that,  a statement with words, which that they do not follow!!!!!!

I dealt with the same idiots in the Arlington location, Veronica and Yadi! I was charged 600+ in fees! I was lied to repeatedly and I deserve all my fees back. Especially after filing my taxes without permission! Instant Tax WILL be shut down VERY soon!
