International Candle Corporation STILL RIPPING OFF!! Cambridge Massachusetts
Don't believe Nat Hillman's Rebuttle...this company is STIll dishonest and deceptive in their business practices! They have my money and they refuse to communicate with me!!
They shipped the stands to me even though we had not completed the contract process, which I kept asking them about but never got a straight answer. When all the bad publicity hit I was even more concerned and tried to get some answers from them but they avoided answering or answered with such vagueries that it really was no answer. I was mostly concerned about the quality issues cited by several of their distributors so I asked them to put my candle order on hold and send me samples so that I could check out the quality issues for myself.
Two weeks later I STILL have no samples and they are ignoring all my communications!! I was willing to work with them at first but NO MORE! They've proven to me they are dishonet and deceptive!!
Their solicitation literature leads you to believe they've been around since the 1970's but corporate records show their license only as of June 2004. Nat Hillman stated they've been around since 2000. God only knows what the REAL story is!
Their solicitation literature uses the words "best quality" and "state of the art", but as I have demonstrated in the paragraphs above that is obviously not true. I've spoken with several ICC distributors who are now buying their candles from other sources due to very poor quality of ICC products.
ICC goes on-and-on in their literature about their great customer support, when in fact THERE IS NONE! They haven't answered my questions regarding numerous concerns, nor have they returned my phone calls or emails asking to discuss my current situation.
ICC may also be connected to another candle company, The Candle Brokers,(possibly a former incarnation), with complaints very similar to those being expressed by ICC distributors. Brian Theisson, who is listed as the President of International Candle Corporation on the June 2004 corporate filing, is also named as one of the participants in a website complaint against The Candle Brokers. When I asked ICC about the connection, Jay Campbell just said there was no connection and refused to discuss it further.
My own experience, the website complaints and the recurring themes in conversations with ICC distributors regarding poor quality,lack of customer service and a general indication of deception and dishonesty lead me to believe this company should be shut down!!

Brian Tyson and Jay Campbell were the ones who sold me my candles in February when they called themselves the Candle Brokers. Before that they were known as Candles4Money. I am imploring that all of you taken by any of these company report them to the Federal Trade Commission. All of your stories are replicas of mine? Any one also hear of Divine Marketing, the placement company they use? I was taken for close to 10,000., many many work hours with no reward, hurt finances, shattered dream, and damaged pride. Federal Trade Commission said that they need to receive reports for action. Jay Arnold and Brian Tyson, you can open up under another name in MA, but you can't hide from all the people you scammed. We are coming after you legally. Jail would be too good for you. By the way, why did you ignore my BBB claim? Oh yeah, beacuse you opened under a new name. Too many complaints listed under The Candle Brokers? Too many complaints listed under Candles4money? You may have our money, but some of those you scammed crawled away with their tails between their legs. Some of us, didn't. Here we come! A united front! The media is next! I will continue until justice has been found!!!!! By the way, check to see if they had a license to sell in your city? I bet not!
