J-Mac Radiator J-MAC Complete Car Care J-MAC RADIATOR Yet another Rip Off Salt Lake City, Utah
I recently needed a heater core to be replaced. since I had used them in the distant past, I took it to J-MAC RADIATOR for the service. They informed me the air filter needed to be replaced. I told them not to replace the filter and thought no more of it at the time.
When I got home, I decided to check the filter because I had just replaced it the week before. When I looked at the filter, on the side you could see, it looked new. But when I took it out to look closer, you could see that someone had taken a torch to the paper part of the filter. The fine steel mesh that holds the paper in, was burned to the point that it was a blue color. (those of you that have used a torch and steel will know of what the color means.) Not only was the steel mesh burned but the paper was completely missing.
Needless to say, I replaced the filter again and kept the old one, just in case... I will never go back to J-MAC RADIATOR and suggest that anyone who is thinking or getting work done on their vehicle to do a complete check of the company they deal with. There are enough reviews on the net that you can separate the good ones from the bad ones. J-MAC RADIATOR is definitely a bad one.

Hello, my name is Charles G. I'm the Service Manager at J-MAC Complete Car Care and I would like to respond to this report.
I want to make sure that you're not confusing us with another company possibly? I do not have any retail record of you in my system, I've searched all my customers with the first name Keith, last initial H. But also since the date you posted this complaint, I have only done a handful of heater cores and not one of those jobs have we offered an air filter replacement and our torches are not in the same building as where we perform our services nor would anyone at our facility torch somebody's air filter for any reason, we are a reputable company.
My fear here is either you have confused us with another company or this is a scam complaint. You can reach me anytime 8am-5pm to fix this issue and please give me more information. I do not want our business name slandered if this is a disgruntled employee or a customer unhappy with another repair and using something of this nature to make J-MAC look like a dishonest company. We've been in business since 1973 and have never had an issue of this nature.
