 J. C. [email protected] (305)316-2972 = Paulo (786) 443 9344 Carlos = Paulo’s Father/owner (786) 454-5328 = Lazaro Serrano I called JC Quality, Inc. a company with allegedly 23 years of experience in the upholstery business, located at: 7950 Ne 4th Ave. Miami, FL 33138 On my initial phone contact with JC Quality, the representative who responded was Lazaro Serrano. Lazaro Serrano was the one sent out to my home and my mother's home on November 7, 2014, to provide us with a quote and help us select the materials from the samples he brought with him. Lazaro gave us papers on JC Quality letterheads indicating the cost for each item. We selected the materials and he came back the next day to commence work on the painting of my dining room chairs. He came accompanied by Pablo and they completed the painting of the chair frames. He said he would be back the following Monday and do the upholstery of the chairs. He then showed up and said it was better if he took the seats of the chairs and the rest of my mother’s and my furniture in order to complete the task before Thanksgiving. He had already received a check from me for $800 and said he needed another $400 check in order to purchase the materials we had chosen. He came to my office to get the additional check. He went to my mother’s apartment and took her sofa and wing chair. He went to my house and took my large upholstered white chair, the seats of my dining room chairs, my brass stifle lamp and the brass frame of my glass top table. Lazaro did not produce the furniture by the week before Thanksgiving. We called him repeatedly and he finally returned the call and said he was out of town, then he said he was sick, then he said he had a delay and that I should not rush him otherwise the job would not be a good one. He again promised to have the job completed by a new date, December 10, (the day before my Mom’s birthday. We had already missed having seats at the Thanksgiving dinner table. He said he would not fail my 86 year old mother for her birthday.

We called him, called the numbers on the documents he gave us and he did not answer, Paulo answered the main number, (305)316-2972, and said, “Oh, Lazaro has not completed the job? I’ll talk to him right away” Many calls later, Paulo promised he would come and give us the finished chairs. He did not show up. After many more calls, unanswered, I called the other number on the documents (786) (786) 443 9344 = Paulo’s Father/owner. On Saturday, February 8, 2014, we, my mother, my friend Karyn Silva and myself went to the J.C. quality establishment in Little River. Carlos had told me the day before that they would be there from 9-5 pm. When we arrived at approximately 11:00 am, the door was locked; there was no one there. We spoke to the gentleman in the establishment next door who called Lazaro for us because he would not answer our call, but Lazaro did not answer his call either. Their neighbor’s name Gerald, phone number: 786-371-1528. I called Carlos and Carlos told me during the telephone conversation on February 8th, that Lazaro had stolen his company’s (J.C. Quality) receipts and that Lazaro had nothing to do with JC Quality. He then told me where I could find Lazaro and my furniture. He gave me directions to a place a few blocks away from JC Quality, next to a restaurant called Chef Creole. 7957 NE 2nd Ave Miami, FL 33138 (305) 754-2298 I asked Carlos if he had a copy of the police report or case number demonstrating that he had reported the theft of his receipts. His answer was no. I also asked, how come Paulo, Carlos’ son had come with Lazaro to paint my chairs. Carlos hung up the phone on me.

On Saturday, February 8, 2014, after visiting the establishment and then the establishment next door to Chef Creole as instructed by Carlos, Lazaro Serrano, sent us a text message that he had given the chairs to Paulo, who came to my house with Lazaro Serrano to clean / paint the wood on the chairs. Lazaro Serrano also sent a threatening text message to us warning us not to show up again to claim our property, that JC Quality, Inc. is the one in possession of our property and that Paulo was supposed to have finished the chairs.(No mention of the rest of our property). They definitely gave us a Thanksgiving, Mom's Birthday and Christmas to remember, with all of our relatives from New York here to spend Mom's 86th birthday and no place to sit!!!! MY FURNITURE HAS BEEN DISMANTLED AND RENDERED USELESS BY THEM. they took our money and our furniture.
