I just wanted to respond to the comment about miscalculation. I may have worded this incorrectly. I bring home $800 after the $400 a month in garnishment. $400 of this goes to daycare. I have to pay rent, utilities, food, gas, etc. out of the other $400 left which is impossible! I have lookied into a lawyer as well, but unfortunately I had to sign the litigation waiver when I purchased this car. This means that I can not just go out and sue this company. I appriciate all of the feedback and hope my experience helps others to make an informed decision and stay away from this particular company.

Your situation is unfortunate, but there are some things you can do. 1. I don't know how long it has been since your bankruptcy, but if it has been enough time, file again. When you file, the garnashment will stop THE DAY YOU FILE! (If you are worried about your credit, don't worry, with them garnishing your wages, you credit is still bad.) 2. File a lawsuit. In your state, a credit can not repossess unless your are 10 days late. If the manager made arrangements with you, that changes your due date. The creditor acted illegally in repossessing when they did When you file in district court, you can then ask the judge to stop the garnish. I would recommend getting an attorney if you go this route. However, there are many good attorneys who will likely take payments (less than $400 per month.) Also, you will likely qualify for legal aid, since they will consider the after garnishment wage. I hope this helps. Please let us know how it turns out.

This doesn't add up to me. If you have a child/children and you paid $400 for a car and only make $800 a month you bought a car that was way too expensive in the first place. File bankruptcy since you rent, have kids and can't get on welfare.
