who ever filed this report should find the real person who stiffed him. he should also get the information straight before he accuses people of such things.

John Heesh, I wish you the best of luck with the outcome of this. It's a very common practice, not only in domains but also in every line of the free market. Anytime you are buying something from someone you run that risk of not getting what you paid for. I believe Godaddy offers an escrow service for situations like this. They hold the sellers domain until the money is transferred and they also hold the ability to transfer the domain. This usually comes with a fee, but it would be worth it for you i'd presume. Concerning this current transaction, I doubt Godaddy will do anything for you, the best thing that you can do is pursue a chargeback for the money you paid them and get on with it. You probably won't get the domain. In the future buy and sell domains on domain aftermarkets. There are several companies out there that deal in just this sort of business. They act as the middleman and will escrow the money for you.
