Jon Vandermolen RIP OFF ARTIST Thousand Palms California
If anyone is thinking of ever hiring Jon Vandermolen to do build a car I am here to wanr you ahead of time and save you a ton of money, frustration and lawyer fees.
Jon Vandermolen was hired to build a replica for me and his web site and his cocky demeanor made you think he was another Chip Foose of car builders.
Maybe "Chip FOOL" might be a better name to describe him.
When I rec'd my car from him and it was supposedly finished it was a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. I don't think he has ever taken a welding course.

Since discovering that Jon Vandermolen and his company JVD Custom Desions are a fraud, many people that have purchased a vehicle from JVD have come forward and told mehow disgusted they are with the work Jon did on their cars. Two of them the car hardly ran when they rec'd it and one guy it cost an additional $4,500 just to get the engine running right. HE sells his completed cars for $56 -60k a piece.
I did not have himdo a complete build for me just a chassis and suspension however the welding on the suspension was novice and so bad I hired another guy to tear it out completely and redo it from scratch.
BEWARE: JVDCustom Desisgn vehicles are DEATH TRAPS. DO your homework... check out the web site posted above and good luck.
