It's not a matter of incompetency so you don't need to be rude. It's a matter of getting your account coded correctly which a telephone banking rep rarely has the authority or access to do. My suggestion would be to request a manager or supervisor, tell them your issue and it will be resolved. But please, don't be insulting because I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate that in return.
