In August of 2015 I contact Kevin Oickle of KGO Welding for an estimate to build new gates for our cemeteries. After receiving his estimate of $ 18, 800.00.. our company entered into an agreement with him for the manufacturing and installation of new cemetery fencing and gates. We were required to pay 50% down and the balance would be paid upon completion of the project.
Kevin came to my office and we discussed the estimate, the plans and the date of completion for this project. A cheque was issued to his company for the 50% in the amount of $ 9, 400.00.
Upon receiving this payment, I met 1 more time with Kevin Oickle when he came out to the cemetery location and we again we over the plans and the completion date.
For the next 4 - 5 months, when I contact this company as to why nothing was being done on site as agreed.. I was given different reasons 1) I am sick 2) someone put sugar in the tank of my truck 3) my wife and I are separated 4) I have a new partner Billy Rahall and he took off with all my tools and my truck.
The excuses were never ending. The project was to be completed by November 30th. Kevin stopped responding to me by email and did not return my phone calls. He basically walked out on our agreement after he took our money and ran. We did not receive our materials or repayment of our deposit.

I just read your post and I am sorry has happened to you too. I too have had a similiar experience. I did go the the RCMP and they did file charges (June 20th, 2018) and currently Kevin Gregory Oikle is being charged with fraud over $5,000. He is expected back in court on July 4th, 2018 to answer a plea to these charges. So I urge you to please call the RCMP again. The more people who file with the RCMP the more likely we are to have the charges stick. They have to prove intent. There are Ripoff Reports dating back to 2015, so if enough people over the years under his various company names report this then we have a much better chances at convicting him. The Sherwood Park RCMP should be able to help you. You can reach me at [email protected] and I will give you some contact info on whom I have been dealing with and will keep you updated. Thanks!
