I am an owner of a Kia Clarus 2.0 Delux 1999 Model which is still in an excellent condition. I recently decided to sell the vehicle, where-after I found out that this make and model was not listed in the trade booklet in our country.
After phoning several Kia Motor dealers to find out what to do and if they can help me sell the vehicle, the response was that they are simply not interested - unless I buy another Kia - which by the way, I feel is blackmail.
Other motor industry dealers also refuse and their reason every time was that - as the vehicle was not listed in the booklet, the banking institutions would not even consider a loan to anyone interested.
This matter was forwarded from the National After Sales Manager, Mr Trevor Ward, to the National Sales Manager for his attention. But after 4 weeks no reply was received from this NSM.
If Kia Motors is planning to gain a foothold in RSA and to be amoung the top 5 Motor selling companies (as they claim they will be in a few years) they must most certainly not have this attitude!!
