KingFish uses every vendor scam technique in the book, including the "free trial" technique. What happens is every day different people sign up for the free trial. Some days KingFish is lucky and he makes a correct call. Amateur traders hoping they've found the "holy grail" are so impressed that they pay $6,000 to join the chatroom.

They try to make the system work but every time they ask a question or show any dissention or healthy skepticism (afterall, they did pay $6,000), KingFish kicks them out of the chatroom and berates them with profanity and racist comments (including anti-gay, anti-black, antisemitic , anti-Asian, anti-redneck profanity). The reason KingFish uses all this profanity is to scare off anyone who has paid $6,000 from even questioning him.

Most people give up after blowing REAL MONEY on this crap and are too ashamed to come forward.

IN FACT, IF YOU WANT KINGFISH'S COURSE I WILL GIVE IT TOO YOU FREE.

PUT UP A 60 MIN LINE CHART AND A 30 MIN LINE CHART AND FIND THE LEVEL THAT THE CHART REVERSED IN THE PAST THEN FADE INTO THAT LEVEL AGAIN.

USE A 10 TICK STOP AND A 100 TICK TARGET.

PLEASE !!!

I JUST SAVED YOU $6000... YOUR WELCOME.

See this thread for more info, and look at the post discussing actions you can take (such as contacting the NFA, CFTC, Florida AG, BBB, and posting on forums like this!!):

Kingfish Traders System..DOES WORK

#6Consumer Comment

Fri, November 03, 2006

There are many people that think they will find a Holy Grail .. this does not exsist .. the Kingfish Traders System Does indeed work .. and is better than 95% of everything else on the market related to S&P E Mini Markets - propbably one of the most difficult makets to trade in the world. I personally have been a member and just happened on this so-called rippoff report on the web - its a shame that the internet is being abused like this .. a Further Note .. not all people can trade futures .. there is much money to made in these markets but you have to gain the skills to do so .. it will NOT happen in two weeks .. it may not happen in two years but you can like i learn to trade and make money every day and month after month. Regards to Mr. Kingfish NOTE : Thanks Kingfish to training me and giving me the tools that i need to win at the Futures markets consistantly !

Last year I posted "In Support of Kingfish" above. Since then, however, I have changed my mind about most of what I said and I want that to be known by anybody who reads these posts and is considering buying the Kingfish system. Mostly, I have changed my mind about Kingfish because he really changed alot since I signed up and became a room member. There was actually a time when he was very very dedicated to his room and the room members. I can recall a day when he was in the room from 6am to 6pm trading, teaching, and answering questions. Without a doubt, the guy has talent as a trader and I witnessed him call many great trades to the tick and I watched room members get in and out of amazing trades...and even took a few myself. While I don't know if he was really trading during this time, he was definitely on top of the market, more often than not, WHEN he was in the room. But something happened to him and over time all that changed. First there was a large mutiny of room members, some of which went off to run their own room. He threatened so sue anyone who associated with them, or even visited their room. Then he moved to Belize; then his wife left him. All of this was very weird. It seemed as if he spent less and less time in the room and was only there, regularly, during the trial weeks, obviously trying to impress trial members with his system, hoping that he would be able to call a few good trades and get some new members to sign up. I honestly have no idea what he is or was going through. But as a result, I lost all confidence in him and his "system" after all of this happened and I began to sense that something was really wrong in Belize. As to his system, in the end, it didn't really work for me. While I had some really good days (or weeks) I also suffered some big losses, and overall, over time, just blew out my account. In my experience (unless he has invented new and better trades to add to the system) it was not consistent enough to trade on a daily basis. Some days were great, others just sucked. I realize that this is the case with any system, but over time, for me, it seemed like it was no better than 50/50, at best. However, I do credit him for introducing me to day trading e-mini futures (I used to trade stocks) and getting me set up with a great broker (who I still use) and data vendor and all that. My experience trading with KF was like trading bootcamp and it did give me the courage to execute trades and hold on to them until the system stop was hit. Before I traded with KF, I was pretty timid and managed to talk myself out of just about every trade. KF changed all that for me. So I did get something for my money. I stopped hanging out in his chatroom several months back, after going there one too many times and finding that he was not there. And in my transition out of his room and away from his system, I stumbled upon a new system that works much better - which is actually a combination of several other systems that I paid for (including Kingfish's). No doubt, I learned alot from KF and I still use his trade management principles in my trading. Is his system worth $7,500? At this point of my trading career, I would say "no". But then again, I think that I had to experience it for myself in order to get to where I am now. Whatever you decide to do with KF (if you are considering signing up with him) just approach him cautiously and understand that he is no different than all of the other trading services, systems, and gurus out there....ALL of whom are there to make money off of you while you try to make money trading. Sure there are a few good ones out there - and I have found some myself. Just dont delude yourself into thinking that KF will be the answer to your problems as a trader and that paying him $7,500 will make you successful. Chances are, it won't. Because, in the end, its not the market that you need to master; it's yourself.

My name is (( name removed by ROR)) and I have been a KF room member since 7/06. I have been a loser for the last 10 years and lost alot of money trying to be a successful daytrader therefore I start to go out and look for help but nothing work. Bought softwares, advisory services, back tested all kind of indicators and nothing work. I thought this will be the last system that I will be purchase when I joined KF but guess I was wrong. You might guess 1 full day of training for $7,500.00. He seems very sincere before one join the room but it not the case once wired him the money. He will yell and scream at you if you question him. The topics and language that he used in the room is very offensive. My wife walked into my office on many occassions and I was very embarrass of the topics that he was discussing. What really get me that he gave glory to god for his system and sit there and lied. He stated many times and even written in magazine articles that the system never have a losing day. I challenged him and asked him about 9/15/06. This day per KF is prime area and what traders are waiting for and he was nowhere in the room. The "Fat Boy" is a prime trading area and this is where you bet thy whole lot, bet the farm. Well you would lost the farm that day on that particular trade because there were 10 trades that did not mini ching or ching and got stop out, 2 trades chinged then got stop out, and 1 trade chinged moved 2 more points then got stop out. Ching is when you cover half of the positions at 1 point and mini ching is when you cover half of the positions at 0.75 point. You need at least a "Bingo" (10 points trade) to breakeven from 3 stop outs. Where were KF on that day if this is a prime trading areas and where traders are waiting for? Probably not trading his calls or he would lost the farm already. There was another "Fat Boy" on 10/16/06 and the result would be lost the farm. I thought I found a mentor and teacher that is sincere about helping others but I guess not. All you care is about your wallet, you are no better than Randy Alsep.

I know KF personally and have gotten drunk with him many times. In fact I spoke to him today. Kingfish better known as Steve Boyd is on his way out. He is not 60 but in his late 40's. The guy in his 60's is his brother. His wife left him because he picked up a young girlfriend. His soon to be ex-wife took the Hummer as it was hers. The red Viper is in the scrap yard after a drunken Kingfish wrecked it and had no insurance. He NEVER owned any helicopter in his life. The jet boat & Harley Davidson are also gone, think Heather (the ex) also took them. No million $$$ house. He paid $750,000. for it and had to sell his Florida home to help pay for the Belize home. The soon to be ex-wife might get it too. He made good money when people came to Belize for his seminar, but has only done that once. And only 10 members came and left dissapointed. Steve "Kingfish" Boyd is now driving an old car around Corozal Town, Belize. I found out his ex was the brains behind the operation and not him. Feel sorry for the guy as he still has a big mouth but no more money.

Things have changed for the worse.....

#12Consumer Suggestion

It's interesting that after so many months nobody of the kf members has found the courage to support him and his so called trading program... The 2 membersthat responded to my thread have talked very generally, and they were obviously not capable of arguing about the facts I stated. The reson: everything I wrote was simply true.... Things have changed for the worse since then...First of all,the price has gone up to 7500 dollars!!! Kingfish believes in inflation... Second,Kf has moved to a country called Belize, where he bought an expensive house...The reason is obvious: his victims cannot prosecute him there.... Kingfish has developed a promotional video also,in which you can admire his fat body and the really strange shirts he prefers....He spends all his day drinking and playing with a monkey (!) he has in his garden!!! Also,he has found the time to seduce a 15-year old girl, which is his new girlfriend now... His wife has left him and the courts will decide upon their divorce now.By the way,KF is about 60 years old!!! His wife is 24 and his girlfriend 15....a nice combination!!! After all these events, there is no surprise why his best friends have abandoned the room, which now seems like a bar full of strange people who talk about anything...By the way, sometimes they talk about trading...Steve Boyd is absent all the time, probably "playing" with his new girlfriend. It will be interesting for his members to know that KF is not really trading, but he lives a comfortable life, spending the money his "members" have payed him,to show them a system which is so naive and simple that a 15-year old boy can develop. The last time I was in the room,3 of his members tried to sell me the system for 1000 dollars....I proposed to show them a better system for free... Good luck to everyone who has enough money to spend on this nonsense. The day when taht room will be closed isn't far away....

In Support of Kingfish

#13Consumer Suggestion

Sat, July 30, 2005

I am writing in support of Kingfish and the Kingfish traders. I have been a room member since April 2005 and have spent nearly every trading day since then in the room, following the chat, and taking the trades. First of all, Kingfish's system is so much more than just trade set-ups. Most daytraders figure out pretty quickly that simply knowing a particular trade set-up will not make you a successful trader. It's all about the trade management and learning how to master your emotions before, during, and after a trade. Kingfish helps you to get through these issues and, through his system (which I will not reveal or comment upon) tries to get traders to understand that if you trade using certain rules, the market can't hurt you. Kingfish makes no claim to knowing where the market will go or what it will do next. He does not use any indicators and does not rely upon outside commentary, projections, or predictions of analysts. He is a reactionary trader with a system designed to respond to market conditions no matter where they take you. That's what he teaches and that's what he is all about. He can be tough on the room members and the trialers, but that's just his style. Good, bad, or otherwise, Kingfish is leading that chatroom nearly every trading day of the year starting at 7:00 a.m., and he lays his name and reputation on the line. He also makes himself available to room members during each trading day by phone for one-on-one mentoring. Traders also have a certain amount of "baggage" that they carry around with them (as in any profession or trade) and Kingfish asks that they check those bags at the door before trading his system. Kingfish will tell you that the students who learn to succeed with his system the quickest are those who had little or no experience trading before - which is likely because as traders, we all have our own trade set ups and indicators that we THINK help us trade and get through the trading day. If you haven't done so already, try trading without listening to CNBC, without drawing trendlines, with all of your indicators turned off and just look at and trade off of the price action shown on your chart. That is what the Kingfish system traders do every day. What could be more liberating to a trader than being able to trade without indicators or news events? After all, none of them work, right? And anyone who has found one that does work would probably not be considering joining Kingfish anyways or even reading this post - because they would be successful traders and not LOOKING on the internet for a way to resolve the problems that they are experiencing as traders. In my opinion, most traders go to Kingfish as a last resort, after they have already come to the conclusion that all the books and seminars are garbage, and after they have already thrown alot of money into the markets and to seminars and other services. And Kingfish doesn't sugar coat the process of trading and try to make you believe that trading will be easy if you join the room. On the contrary, he reminds everyone in the chat room nearly every day that trading is the hardest thing that you will ever do and succeeding as a trader will take alot of work and discipline. Ironically, Kingfish's system and the way he teaches prevents him from making any money on the "back-end", which, we all know, is the way that sales people really make their money. This is because he teaches traders to be independent of him and to make trading decisions on their own. So once you join, thats it; there is nothing else to buy. From that point, it's up to you to succeed. And you can trade with him for as long as you wish, and come and go as you please. Is the Kingfish system for everyone? Probably not. But then again, daytrading is not for everyone either.

A Tale Of Half Truths

#14Consumer Comment

Fri, July 29, 2005

I am a member of the KingFish Trading Chat Room. From what I have witnessed this is not a hard sell to rip people off. KingFish makes it very clear that all new participants should start with a $2,000 account and trade one and two lots until it becomes a $5,000 account. He is genuine with his concern to make people successful. I believe his system is effective, however as a trader YOU are the one who is accountable for your trades. I can't blame a system or a person when I am the one who hits the button. He does not tout this system in the free trial as the Holy Grail. He doesn't claim to predict the market. He has simply devised a system where as when the market does move big in one direction or another the system with the risk management works. Is it worth $6000 dollars. I would suggest you start reading more trader publications to understand what a rip off truly is. On another note I do find some of the language offensive. At times I have to mute out cetain conversations that are offensive to me and anyone who can hear my speakers. KingFish you have to clean up your commentary. Lastly KingFish you most certainly have enemys out there. No question. The reason why is because you talk way to much about your financial success. We don't need to know a lot of the crap you buy, what you paid for your home, your hummer etc. Learn how to deal with your success don't flaunt it! People do not want to pay $6,000 bucks to hear who you are suing and how much your attorney costs. It's a business run it like one. Clean up the language, your personal bias and how well you are doing and your enemys will retreat.

fire and smoke

#15Consumer Suggestion

Sat, June 18, 2005

As in any case, whereever smoke emerges there is some sort of fire beneath it..... I've watched the Kingfish trial procedure for several weeks, using various nicknames. I was neither dissapointed nor amazed....a person with some trading experience will understand the "system" in a few hours. It's a pure contrarian system which tries to pick bottoms and tops fading the extremes of the market. What makes the system worth considering is the trade management rules which really make sense. The system can produce some really good signals, because often the market turns at that extremes. But if there is a trendy day and you don't take the first signal you are going to experience a lot of bad trades, trying to fight the trend. So, the system works better if the market swings between 2 extreme points. The people in the room have a kind of religious devotion to Kf,or Steve Boyd as his real name is.They are friendly and helpful to the newcomers but they don't reveal any "secrets".I' ve spoken to a lot of them. The one thing that scares the newcomer is that many of them are heavy drinkers and some of them have already blowed out several accounts trying to trade profitably. His father in law is a retired electrician who lives on his wife salary and Kf's best friend is a very strange person who is always drunk and trades contrary to the system !!!! if somebody wants to become a member he has to deal with KF'S wife,a young lady who doesn't know anything about trading but tries to promote her elderly husband's business. Anyway, this is an interesting group of people, who seem to have a strong relation to each other...I have tried to keep records on the trades KF calls,in order to evaluate its performance, but this is not easy because the system gives numerous signals and there are traders that have opposite positions all the time.Kingfish himself never reveals his trades, and I suspect that he doesn't trade at all... Anyway, the system is interesting and it's worth trying it,provided that you follow strictly the management rules. You don't have to pay the illogical fee of 6000 dollars. As a matter of fact, the rules are well known over the internet for free...There are even some demonstration charts showing the rules of the system. You can find them anywhere..... I hope that my comments will be useful to any potential customer of KF.

No Merit ... No Substance... No Rip-Off

#16Consumer Comment

Mon, June 06, 2005

This whole distasteful report is mere anger and humiliation that spewed over from another on line forum - Elitetraders.com. For those of you that have never frequented this sort of thing, it can be real eye opener. In my opinion, the person who submitted this garbage is obviously unstable and has only vindictive and harmful intent. I would hope this will be clearly obvious to you after reading the Kingfish thread at the above site. More importantly, this person has no personal knowledge of his allegations, has not been ripped off and has been found out to be a member and trusted friend of a rival chat group. Therein lye's his motives. Please read through the thread located at the site noted above. You should be able to quickly identify this person by his redundant comments throughout the thread, and my later attempts to bring out some sort of reasonable objectivity. This person was not ripped off $6m! To rebut as briefly as possible, I offer the following regarding his unfounded declarations: "KingFish uses every vendor scam technique in the book, including the "free trial" technique. What happens is every day different people sign up for the free trial. Some days KingFish is lucky and he makes a correct call. Amateur traders hoping they've found the "holy grail" are so impressed that they pay $6,000 to join the chat room." I personally know of no common "free trial" scam technique. Kingfish markets a one week free trial yes, but he does not offer it everyday. Kingfish makes some bad calls and he makes some extraordinary calls. The market dictates which one it turns out to be and it usually doesnt take long. There are very few amateurs, if any, in the chat room. KF does Not accept noobies and even goes on to often exit the intellectual hard heads, with their studies and indicators, during the free trial. Not implying to give any sort of credence to his smarts, but perhaps this person was one of those, I don't know. The existing members are diverse: electrician to heart surgeon, pilots and real estate people, etc.. One current member has traded for 45 years, was the chief analyst for Pru Bache and had 3000 brokers relying on him. How easy he was to fool huh? No, and all who come to the door with $6m do not get in. No one touts the KF program as the "Holy Grail" but it does produce a lot of 10 point single entry trades; and this event is often witnessed in the free trial. How often? The market dictates this but certainly enough to rule out any sort of dumb luck or deception. Members tout it to be the most powerful daytrading program on the planet. "They try to make the system work but every time they ask a question or show any dissention or healthy skepticism (afterall, they did pay $6,000), KingFish kicks them out of the chatroom and berates them with profanity and racist comments (including anti-gay, anti-black, antisemitic , anti-Asian, anti-redneck profanity). The reason KingFish uses all this profanity is to scare off anyone who has paid $6,000 from even questioning him. "Most people give up after blowing REAL MONEY on this crap and are too ashamed to come forward." In my history with KF, this is absolutely not true about the members or KF. There are any number of disgusting rumors generated by rival chat rooms, but they are easy to disprove. There are usually way over 100 members in the room at any given time and any guest is at liberty, during the free trial to query the validity of such a gross and nasty allegation by this reporter. The rest is almost too lame to respond to. I mean, c'mon! Would I, or any other person who paid $6m, let name calling stop us from getting in touch with the CFTC or the NFA! I'm sure you would agree that it would just inflame us more! "IN FACT, IF YOU WANT KINGFISH'S COURSE I WILL GIVE IT TOO YOU FREE. YOUR WELCOME." He has posted this numerous times and it is a far cry from the Kingfish Trading Program. Moreover, this sort of slanderous statement is an insult to the members and a continuing testament to this individuals instability and total lack of good sense! Ask a member. The KF Program is comprehensive. It is a lifetime membership with the goal of making the trader independent from him and all the gurus out there once and for all. Needless to say, I would urge you not to attempt implementing the above drivel with any money. "See this thread for more info, and look at the post discussing actions you can take (such as contacting the NFA, CFTC, Florida AG, BBB, and posting on forums like this!!):" Unfortunately, there is little to be done with this sort of malicious behavior but, go to the forum thread. While the criticisms and accusations regarding Kingfish pour in from whatever source, Rip-Off should be for real complaints. Notwithstanding, nothing could/should discourage you from contacting the proper authorities in the event you feel you have been ripped off by Kingfish or anyone else. Unlike the writer of the rip-off report here, you should probably have been ripped off something though, and not just frivolously expose yourself to possible legal backlash with a feeble attempt at censure by defamation. You are encouraged to see for yourself whether the whole of this report has any merit. Follow the above noted thread and read how all of this story unfolded. At the least it offers some real entertainment, but little more. See how any decisions you might make, without the benefit of personal witness, and how putting any reliance on the empty opinions of some pompous group of wanna be's is totally reckless. Be sure and do a search on the person who wrote the report too, and see how he fairs in some of the other forum threads. By all means, get the book he touts throughout the thread if you like, and if you think it will do you any good. But, and I am not pushing Elite Traders here, they have an excellent book for traders (in its entirety) at the Training tab...and it doesn't cost you a cent. Like you probably, I was always taught, where there is smoke there is fire. However, I learned a lot about forums and the like in my short week of posting there on ET. From this, and reading through other forums on the web, I have learned that there is smoke on everyone in every subject; that where there are people gathered, there is smoke. Granted, Kingfish Traders is an elite bunch. But I can say that Kingfish has been around for over five years, and still puts it on the line every day in front of a room full of people. Not many can say that. After a weeks exposure in the free trial, not all understand and not all fit into the group. But, unlike the rest of the wanna be's, he invites you to be his guest for a week...and see for yourself see for yourself if there is any fire. This is a great forum for the consumer who has been hosed, but I'm sure they would agree you should wait until you have been hosed before filing a report. After you attend the free trial, you can think of him what you will...but dont listen to half wits with some ulterior agenda. YOUR conclusion will be the right one.
