Kirby Vaccum Lies decete & total lack of follow up by Lee M. Rip-off Bossier City, Shreveport Louisiana
We were visited by Lee, a so-called Kirby vaccum rep. He told us he owned an office in Shreveport, and left us the phone number. Later when we called we were told he gets messages there.
We told him no about 4 times and finally my wife said yes. The product is good although way to expensive for its worth. We were told about several items we were to get FREE, but every attempt to get Lee to call has been ignored and still haven't received the merchandise. Our billing was to come to our home, but it goes to an inlaw instead.
My experience with this company makes me ashamed to say we were naive enough to believe this crap. My best thought is never open the door to another one of these lying pieces of trash.

How do they continue to grow??? BY EXPLOITING THE HELL OUT OF UNSUSPECTING "CUSTOMERS". This thing is a total scam. The company is founded upon greed and lies. I haven't heard of too many people who weren't bigwigs of the company that had anything good to say.

Kirby vacuum cleaners have been sold in the US for over 90 years. They are sold by direct distributers who hire and train their own sales staff. We are an international corporation and a division of Scott/Fetzer Inc. It is very unfortunate that not all salespeople are honest and trustworthy, but this is not confined to "KIrby"!! This is one of the finest constructed,best quality and highest performance home cleaning systems ever designed and has been updated and improved continually for the past 75 years. Value and worth are subjective at best. Very few Kirby Reps have the problems being whined about here! If they were so bad a value... Why are they growing daily in a declining economy??? Again, sorry for your inconvenience.

I sympathize entirely with your feelings for the Kirby Company, but please realize it is not the salesmen perpetrating the crime. They are only the ones delivering the product's functions and price. The managers and execs are the ones really generating the ignorance, disrespect, and exploitation. It's a "don't kill the messenger" mentality. I know because I was a "dealer" for them as they called us.
