Liverpool,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds
Sun, June 24, 2007
I am a ex-employee of Kiwi. I worked for the for four months and I had over six years of carpet cleaning experence. Everything you said is true but you left out us being told to overcharge for spot cleaning (as much as $30.00) and not given chemicals if they felt you used to much for the week. They didn't care if you had chemicals or not we were told to use hot water. Like you said Kiwi didn't care if the tec did a good job or not. They would just send someone else out to do the job and not pay the first. Kiwi gets paid no matter what and the customer gets nothing but a bad experance.

Thanks for the educational moment! You hit the nail on the head! I have almost 30 years in this business. Please don't get confused about carpet cleaning scams. "Remember" you get what you pay for. "REMEMBER" there is a sucker born every second. This world has become a stupid society. There are hundreds of carpet cleaning companies, and very few REAL EXPERIENCED techs like me. I am not going to slam the IICRC, but a beginner has to start somewhere. Me and some of my colleagues clean things they can't pronounce. Being a real carpet cleaner takes many years! Not a few months after recieving a certification. Think about it. Do they require a certification to make some of the fine area rugs where your from? "ANSWER IS NO" right? You made a very GOOD POST!
