I found the game Battle Pirates on Facebook about 2 and half years ago. So i decided to go ahead and see what it is. I learned how to play a lot by fellow players and was moving up in the levels and went through a lot of changes Kixeye was going to make game better. I have put a lot of time and effort into this game. I also decided to put money into the game so i was able to speed up my game play. I have spent about $3,000 US dollar into this. Getting high grade ship blueprints and upgrading items all over my base and other ships. After a while i was starting to get a lot of problems with the game with SOS/Blue and white screens/ Losing fleets as a result. I started to send in Tickets for the issue's and at times i would have to wait for a response from Kixeye, but soon they would send an email stating" It is caused by your computer" but would give out some gold coin to help with repairing fleets. they would suggest to do some steps which i did and followed to the "T" and it didn't fix the issue's. So every time it would happen i would take screen shots and submit more tickets. I would get same response but at times wouldn't get any gold coins for their problems that cost me money. There has been a lot of Higher levels that quit playing this game cause of same problem. Once i got to level 49 and almost level 50 I was hitting other bases cause that is apart of the game. On Jan 7th,2013 I played all morning and took a break and went to work and when i got back on at 11:00 pm to load Battle Pirates and it tells me "Your Account is Suspended" for cheating. I went ahead and sent an email to Kixeye ask why because I know for a fact that I didn't cheat and don't even know how to do it. I also asked for proof of the cheat. Kixeye Sent me an email stating This:
"I have reviewed the ban issued to your account and it has been determined to be correct. We are not able to reveal how we detect cheating, as that would just let the people who develop these cheats know how our security works and how to avoid it. We have firm evidence, though, that your account has been engaged in cheating. Please note that you are responsible for what happens on your account - if you choose to share your account information with another player and that other player cheats on your account, the account will still be suspended." i sent in another email reply stating i am confused because I have never cheated and it's unfair that you will not reveal the proof. I have sent so many tickets in about this ban and also requested for my money back they are stealing. All i get back is we are not unbanning your account unless you give us what was used for the cheat or   As we have determined that we will not be reopening this account, we must consider this matter closed, and will no longer be able to respond to support tickets about this account.

This messed up for an unaware player to have happen by Kixeye and for that much money being taken away by the Kixeye company. I have furthered my research on this and come to find out there is Law's in California that goes against things like this happening to customers. they also have a bad rating on the BBB page too and a lot of complaints against them.

Ultimately, it really doesnt matter how or why you were banned or suspended.  The point is that you as a consumer have buyer protections in the state of California where Kixeye resides, even if you live outside of California, these laws apply to you.  You also have either Credit Card protection or PayPal Buyer Protection or if you used your Credit Card through PayPal, you have both.   But it gets better, because you also have certain rights for internet virtual purchases, and groups like the BBB and the Electronic Frontier Foundation to assist you.What most Kixeye users  do not realize, is that Kixeye is making you a guarantee to provide certain assumed services upon your purchase of their in-game gold coins.  This assumption of purchase is based solely on your belief that you will benefit from the purchases made within the game over the normal lifetime that the game exist.When Kixeye forfeits your account, you lose what you purchased.  Likewise, you also lose any unspent  money (gold coins purchased).  Not only are you losing what you invested, you are also having what you havent spent yet stolen from you.  Essentially, they are taking your money and giving you nothing in return.   Its like a bank keeping your money when they initiate the closure of your bank account.Fortunately, you have rights as a consumer and the law is in your favor as a buyer.
