Hello I have worked for Labor ready as a temperary worker several times, every time I cannot find work and I feel all is lost there they are, now as to your line (11) They will hire ANYONE off the street as long as they can pass the survey. That means felons, drug addicts, alcoholics, thieves, and sexual predators.) Would you or anyone else rather these people sit on a corner and beg for money? Or worse by possibly doing something illigal to sustain themselves and when they get caught our tax dollars pay some people to keep an eye on them in a concrete building? Do you know what the cost of incarceration for one inmate is in Washington State? the average cost is 51,000 dollars per year. Do you know what the recidivism rate is for someone who can find steady work? Its low, the recidivism rate of those who cannot, between 40-60% thats still a big chunk of people who dont commit another crime even though thay cannot find work, perhaps they go on SSI, or something else because no one will give them an opportunity to re enter society. These are people who are trying thier hardest and the only place that will give them an opportunity is this company. I for one have a 12 year old felony and misdormeanors from about 7 years ago, it has been a barrier to employment, I go into other temperary agencies and never get a call back, even after being persistant. Although the pay isn't what the work would command if hired on full time at a company, it helps people like myself and my family to survive, if thats all it is sometimes. Imagine being a single father and no one will hire you except for Labor Ready, that is the boat I have been in and you know, I appreciate every day I get work, every day. If there were more companies out there that would turn the other cheek and give people an opportunity to prove themselves based on their present circumstances and performance, as opposed to their past, then perhaps this report you made would hold some water, but for now, those of us that have lived, made poor decisions, and are trying to make an honest living will continue to use these services and will appreciate companies who hire through them, for it is our daily sustinance. Not that all employees are in the same circumstances as this but for those of us who are it is our only means of survival.
