Complaint Review: Lady Venom Cosmetics Makeup School - Internet

I have been working in Edmonton as a makeup artist and I agree with this report. There are far more interesting schools of value that people can invest money towards. The school isn't good and Gina is rude in the way she talks about other makeup artists. She is just very rude, mean and from my experience not good to be around!

i had the great pleasure of working with ms. cicero on a television pilot that was shooting in calgary this past summer.

i have worked in the film industry for 14 years and have been on numerous film and television sets with makeup artists from all over the world, i can assure you, in no uncertain terms that ms. cicero is an extremely talented make up artist who is very good at what she does.

i found ms cicero to be a dedicated professional with a flawless work ethic...i found her to be patient and very personable...

i wouldn't hesitate in reccommending her and her work to anyone that was in need of the highest quality makeup artistry.

My name is Sandy, I have known Gina and worked with her for many years. I just wanted to make it loud and clear that I find both of these claims to be a joke.  So it is true that when one succeeds, another one will hate. There have been two people in the past year that Gina has had an issue with and it is so odd that all of a sudden she gets complaints. When in fact 99 % of the people in the industry or even the ones that do business with her on a daily basis continue to support and love her. Don't be mad because she no longer deals with you or your bad attitudes. Don't be mad because her ideas are not yours. Grow up and leave it be. The more you continue to talk your nonsense and make up all these lies the more she will carry on into her success. I really feel sorry for the people that are so bored and just burn with jealousy that you must hate on her. I am defending her because, she is a good person and has a beautiful heart and truly does not deserve these false accusations. Another thing I seem to find so funny is that you remain anonymous or make up fakes names because your stories are false and you clearly have nothing better to do than sit on your behind and make up things. Maybe the both people that posted up these awful stupid lies should get a real job and stop worrying about what Gina is doing! I am more than certain that there would be more people to defend and give her a wonderful reference than ones that would lie about her! 
Just because Gina is trying to bring something new into her life and working very hard at it, shouldn't mean that people like you come along and try to mess that! Get a life, stop focusing on hers. Once you realize that the more you continue to try to bring her down the more she will push harder. Again I have posted my real name and feel free to contact me for PROPER reference and I have a list of a mile long with people who will give Gina a great recommendation!!!

Not surprised you feel ripped off by Gina Cicero. I to have
been ripped off by her, and others I know mislead, lied to and cheated.  Gina Cicero is a con and the only 2 people who stand up to her are ones she works with interesting. Maybe they should
speak with others who she worked with in the past and get the truth before they
get burned.

My name is Felicia Gow and I am the Assistant Director of Lady Venom Cosmetics: School of Makeup Artistry. I am writing this on the behalf of myself, Gina Cicero and Ashly McKessock.

Naturally, when one comes across something so awful many different things come to mind. Why? Who? The point or reasoning behind such a malicious attack? How can anyone say something this awful when we haven't even opened our doors yet?!... Unfortunately, you just have to accept that this is part of the industry. It is competitive, along the way you will come across people you don't get along with and then you make a choice. You have to ask yourself "how will I deal with the negativity and the people who want to bring you down?" Well my friends...this is what we have to say to that question. You rise above it and carry on. That is what we're choosing to do.

Gina, Ashly and I are all very hard working, passionate and dedicated Makeup Artists that work and live in Edmonton, Alberta. The three of us Love, Love, LOVE what we do and after many trials and tribulations have decided to band together to offer workshops and classes in the art of makeup artistry on our own terms. This is something the three of us are thrilled about and have dedicated a very large part of our lives to make a reality. We have experienced first hand a number of schools this city has had to offer and we feel we can contribute to it as well. Sometimes you just have to ask yourself "Am I happy working for someone else, or is it time to be my own boss?" Our answer to that is, it's time to be our own boss.

We were immensely shocked and disappointed to catch wind of these reports who seem to be by a single individual that two of the three of us were briefly affiliated with in the past (this is our best guess, so only speculation). We will not sink to the level of the original author and bash the company or name names of people that we believe are involved in this vindictive behavior. I will however state and stand by the following..

Gina, Ashly and I are all very much educated, accredited and certified makeup artists. We are consistently working, and that alone speaks volumes.  Our drive behind offering workshops and classes is to offer more variety and options to the general public that have an interest or passion to learn more about high fashion/editorial, airbrushing and special FX makeup techniques. All three of us have many references that we would be more than happy to share with anyone who asks. And by all means feel free to ask!!

I would like to add on my behalf, as the original author is listed as an "echarles" My previous instructor at Eveline Charles would be happy to offer any references or give me a referral. I graduated the top of my class and we remain friends to this day. I know she is incredibly proud of me and all I have worked to accomplish for myself in this industry.

We have decided collectively that this will be our one and only response to such a malicious and immature attempt to bring us down. We are all very proud of our place in this industry, we will continue to work hard at what we do, we will continue to surround ourselves with the positive and supportive friends, family and clients we have in our lives and most importantly walk with our heads held high knowing that we have made an attempt to live our dreams and make them a reality.
