I have also been ripped off by the Lawyers above. I signed a contract with Campos Chartered Law firm in Syosset, New York to handle the dept consolidation. It was after I watched the advertisment with "Michael Glass" the actor, ( I wonder where that slime is) for "Debt Consolidators". I had no idea that they had assigned my account to another lawyer and thief in Florida called Laura Hess. I had been paying on my account to the total sum of $6,200.00 that I thought was being placed in a holding account to pay my bills. They sent me a sheet explaining my consumer rights along with a contract. Can you imagine! The only way I found out it was a scam, was when one of the creditors under the umbrella came to my front door and served a summons on me for my debt last week. Jeff Campos and his fraudulant Chartered law firm didn't pay a single payment to any of the creditors ,didn't hold anything in a holding account,he and Laura and the others, just stoled it. Nothing lower than people who steal from the poor. Instead they lied further and told me when I called, they were working on my debts paying them down. I recieved no paperwork from the Florida Attorney General's Recieiver about the settlement arrangement. I called Campos in New York. I only then found out about the fraud by Laura Hess and Jeff Campos , their families must be very proud. The firm and lawyer that lied to me and continued to steal from me was: Jeff Campos P.A.; Campos Chartered Law Firm, P.O.Box 170,Syosset,N.Y. 11791, Phone:800-701-4928. The recievers info in case you haven't filed a claim is: Daniel J. Stermer, in Florida. The phone # is: 954-510-7840. I'm up for putting our heads together to work on it all and see what we can do! I'm not going to stop until everyone from Washington D.C. on down knows about them and what they have done. My husband who is disabled and I live on under 1,000.00 a month. It was very hard to scrape these payments together. If it helps, I have just learned Laura Hess: 210 North University Drive, Coral Springs, Florida and Jeff Campos at the address of business above and their fraudlent partners ripped off 91,000 of us. I Know I was a bit upset by this because I couldn't even spell right but I did not sign up to owe 4000 dollars I signed up to save money! I'm so lucky that I only have one Atistic kid to take care of because losing that kind of money is a bad thing. Please Notice it says temp. disbarred in the paperwork you get. I sure hope the consumers are reading ripoffs.com reports on this company

I think someone should tell me how to start a class action suit against Hess Kennedy Co. and Associates, but I'm very concerned there will be nothing we can do. It has gone to Recievership and into the Bankruptcy Courts leaveing the poor people who were victims of this scam hanging. I have written the attorny general to ask his help because I don't know if anyone can start a lawsuit against someone in a bankruptcy or not. There is more legal language in the paper I recieved about the Bankruptcy. It is very interesting that it says if you make a claim you have to waive your rights to any other legal action against them. The money I paid them for two years made life a hardship for me and I really think they should have to pay me back and then some for missleading me and stealing from me.
