Leading Edge Recovery Systems Trying to Collect on Store Account that I Never had from 1982 Nationwide USA Illinois
I had a voice mail a few weeks ago from a Mr. Weinstein, no company identification just stating that this was an important matter.
I did not return the call.
Received a call from this woman on 4-2-08 (she did not give me her name or company) stating that she was trying to collect a debt for New York and Co. When I asked her what that was, she said that it was a store and that she was trying to collect this debt. I told her I had never had a New York and Co. credit card and to please tell me when this alleged debt was from...she told me 1982. When I denied all knowledge of this debt she started getting abusive with me. I told her to not call me again. She came back with the statement that she would keep calling until I paid. Well then I really started getting mad and ended up hanging up on her.
I received another call today (4-10-08, I'm logging every call) about this and finally got the company name out of this woman . She wanted to confirm address and ssn and I told her I would start taping this call, she seemed kind of put out by that and then I decided, I'm not in the mood for this so I told her I had nothing to say to her and hung up.
I have not received any written notice from this company. If they contact me again in any way, phone or mail. I will contact the FTC and my state Attny's office.
This is not my debt, I will not harrassed and tormented by these people.
