Purchased a camera through the bidding process on Ebay from Lindas_Camera_World. I received on or about the

12th of February 2007.

I was not impressed with the quality of pictures this model produced. I emailed this seller and expressed my dissatisfaction and seller replied with an offer to replace it with a different model. I agreed to this offer and returned original camera along with shipping costs for the exchange camera which would be sent to me. I was told in the email that it would take a few days to inspect the camera I sent back to ensure that it was all complete and then the replacement camera would be sent to me.

I have sent numerous email to find out why I have not received this camera - no response. Filled a dispute with Ebay on March 20th and seller has not responded. So here I am at Ripoffreport.com

It appears that I have violated a policy of privacy according to Ebay rules. I may get suspended from Ebay if my comments and or information about this Ebay seller is not removed from this website, as the information about this seller must not be known. HUH??. Yeah!!

This seller thinks she can do no wrong! Tells other not to be rude, when in turn does the same if not worse. I recommend you go to Ebay and read the feedback. Cut & paste the following: search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZlindasQ5fcameraQ5fworld The record she claims of high positive feedback is there, as well as the negative. Does not own up to promises unless feet held to the fire, and even then is critical if the results are not it her favor. I have a compiled document of the emails exchanged in trying to resolve this issue. My temporary suspension from Ebay had nothing to do with her inability to resolve it, she only used it as an excuse not to own up to what should have been done weeks prior to my filing a calim with Ebay.

We didn't keep his money, this buyer tells half the story. He leaves out the part that he was suspended by ebay at the time of the problem/exchange, and that he closed the dispute panel between he and I less than 2 working days from opening it, and never contacted us again until he posted negative feedback on the 4th of April. I do not endorse or support this site. I am only responding to help this customer and future customers find the right path to solving any problem they may have with an item purchased from lindas_camera_world on ebay. I will post no follow up to the comments made by the owners or representatives of this site. I request the company contact information obtained and posted without our permission, be removed. This resulted in the initial delay, as we were trying to find out from trust and safety what we were supposed to do in a situation like this. In the process of us trying to get advise on if continuing transactions with the buyer were safe, and how we were to handle this situation, the buyers reshipment never shipped. He closed the dispute panel where we were communicating (less than 2 working days from opening it), and as far as we can tell, never contacted us again until he posted negative feedback on the 4th of April. So basically, rather than notify us he did not receive the item with a polite follow up to his initial email since he had closed the dispute, the buyer proceeded to wait more than a week, then leave negative feedback, and chargeback his purchase. These actions did nothing to help move the transaction along, they all resulted in additional delays in us helping him directly, by involving 3rd parties in a 2 party transaction. We are very sorry if his suspension and/or our attempts to verify his situation created any delay, but saying we ripped him off and are keeping his money is simply not true, in fact its probably liable if not updated by him, or at least followed up once the situation is rectified. We will gladly ship his item as soon as we can pull the situation together, in a fair electronic environment that would protect both parties We are committed to helping this customer and all customers. This is clear in how we instantly offered to exchange (upgrade) the purchase for this customer to a camera that listed for over $50 more than he paid for his item, when he just mentioned to customer service he was unhappy. In addition, over a week ago we started the process to opening a fair third party mediation, and today at a cost of $20, asked for a independent 3rd party to try to help rectify the situation for the buyer, in Squaretrade (www.squaretrade.com, SquareTrade pioneered large scale online dispute resolution, has handled over 2 million disputes across 120 countries in 5 languages, helping consumers and merchants mediate resolutions to ecommerce disputes). Hopefully he will respond to the mediator, and will have the decency to come back here and set the record strait on how we solve his issue. We are committed to our customers, all we ask in return is you treat us fair in return, and tell the whole story. I am sure somehow the haters here at this site will find a way to turn our fair solution offer into some horrible act on our part, but we cant help that. We will let our over 17000 satisfied positive feedback leaving customers over many years on eBay speak for how we do business. The owners of this site require us in all rebuttals to also '...explain why there are so many Rip-off Reports where consumers claim they are being victimized by you or your company.' First of all, we didn't 'victimize' anyone. We also don't know what 'so many' reports are, we see 3 (which includes this one), if there are any others we would like to know about them and we will respond when and where it is appropriate. We have completed over 20,000 transactions on eBay, human errors sometimes (although rarely) occur, but no one here would knowingly and intentionally 'Rip-off' anyone, and to say so is absurd and probably liable. I left informative feedback about my bad experience with Lindas Camera World on Ebay. I got an email from Square Trade stating that this seller wanted me to retract my comments about my bad experience with them. This is there stipulation: "I received feedback for this transaction and would like it withdrawn. I would like the feedback I left withdrawn only if we resolve other issues - such as sending or receiving payment, refund or merchandise." In other words, if I don't say bad things about them, then they will supposedly fix the the mess they created. Yes I want my money back, but other people need to know if they want to deal with this tyoe of crooked business.
