I was approached by a young man who said his name was Craig Albright, which is an alias. He conned me into thinking that he was friends with my neighbors across the street. I do not know them that well, so I had no way of knowing he was or wasn't a friend of theirs. I ordered a subscription of FamilyFun for 40.00 on October 31st, 2007. It is now October 3rd, 2008 and I have not received anything from this company.

I called in the beginning of 2008 to find out what was going on and I talked to a man who did not give his name. He told me that it was an error with the magazine company who did not get my address right and that it would be fixed. He said that my subscription would arrive in an additional 8-10 weeks. He offered no manager assitance. When I inquired about a refund he said someone would call me back.

I called again this morning and spoke with Brandy after numerous calls that led to a voice answering message (which sounded just like Brandy). She was rude and when I asked for a manager, she stated that she was the manager. She instructed me to send a request form to [email protected] and my check would be in the mail. I have not gotten a response from her email address, and I am not expecting a check as it is apparent that I have been duped. She told me that it was against company policy to issue a refund over the phone even if I did have the necessary information (receipt number, name, address, date of purchase).

I want justice and I am not the only one. There are so many out there that have been scammed by this company and something needs to be done. How can they keep doing this?

Since October 3rd 2008 I have spoke to Brandy nearly twice a week, every week. I finally whittled her down to sending me a check that never comes. First, I needed to wait ten business days. I did. Then it didn't get mailed, so I had to wait another week. I did. Then the check was unable to be found so they issued me another one. And now, when I call the number rings busy/disconnected and her email [email protected] has been deleted and all emails return to me. I called on Monday, November 24th, 2008 to tell her again that my check never came. I could hear television in the background, as well as children chattering. She quietly tried to shush them (to no avail since I hear her) and she told me to call back for a new check number. I find it interesting that she's the only person who ever answers the phone and she informed me that she was no longer the manager (I don't doubt that she never was). I am urging anyone else who has a number of contact to please step forth. I know they aren't going to end their scam because of me, so there will be more victims. And once more there will be a phony number to call. Please let me know if you have it. This will be the hardest 40.00 they will ever make...
