BEWARE! FOR THOSE WHO ARE ATTENDING THE PROGRAM ORIENTATION!

The Lou Lease Program aka Vision Financial Services is a big ripoff. The program rules change after you enter to be sure you don't qualify. If you call them to check the status of your application, you usually get the answering service. If you are clever enough to call at a time and actual get a person, it is usually Anita who tells you that you need to talk to Bridgette, or it is Bridgette who tells you that Anita has your file and you need to talk to her.

This agency is supposed to be part of the LA Public Facilities Authority and also part of the Freddie Mac Foundation. If so, why have they hired these incompetent people to work for them? They are charging you $35 after attending the orientation for credit reports and application processes. The original time frame turn-around was first contact in 30 days. HUH Not happening.

They then send you to a credit education agency who can charge you up to $100 for classes, where they tell you you must pay-off some items on your credit report. MORE MONEY!! Then the application is supposed to be complete after action plan and other documents are received. NOT Anita must then do her final review before sending it to lender, which takes her 4 months to do. Then the lender turns around and charge you their fees.

I'm just wondering, has there been anyone who has closed with the Lou Lease Program. If so, has there been anyone to close in Northern Louisiana (such as Shreveport, Bossier, Monroe, etc.)?

LouLease mortgage companies did not pull out; they were removed

The mortgage companies on the list did not pull out; they were removed because they did not know what they were doing. A mortgage professional told me that "LouLease was for losers"!!!! The mortgage companies and realtors feel that if a person needs loulease they have really bad credit problems!!!!

Formerly of Shreveport I am glad you became proactive. Its unfortunate that the program enabled many people because they all rushed in for a handout!!!!!!! When they realized they had to jump hurdles (pay bills, follow planned guidelines) they became disgruntled. Don't misunderstand the program, they are closing loans every week in New Orleans.

The incompetence level goes a long way here, and like you said it was a passing of the buck

This was not a direct hit toward Anita, she just happened to work (volunteer) for a company that is full of B.S. The incompetence level goes a long way here, and like you said it was a passing of the buck. So as far as Anita goes, I'm glad that she removed her name from such a HICK company especially when she has such an extensive background. For all those who still need the program, I don't think it is a laughing matter. A lot of people were hooked up with Lou Lease because of different reasons, not all because of poor credit nor poor money management skills, some were just to get the down payment assistance. And as I sit in MY HOME!! YOU GET!!! reading this, there are not a lot of uneducated folks registering with Lou Lease. And yes ignorance goes a long way too. Think about!! as you say, if there is a program that helps with a down payment, yes many people with me included are going to try and get it. Fortunately for us, due to us looking in the mirror (and seeing profession, well-educated people) and the mortgage companies that pulled out and let us know what was really up with the program, we were able to get houses without Lou Lease and did not have to pay off our cars and students loans (oh, by the were always being paid on-time).

You pissed off LouLease people are angry with the wrong person. Anita continued to work for Vision Financial even when I encouraged her to quit!!!! There were times when she was not even paid but she continued to work because she cared. You work long hours doing the job of 4 people and see if you don't sound aggravated. In fact Anita told me when she resigned they still owed her almost $2,000.00 in back pay. When that woman Bridget told you Anita was working your file that was her way of passing the buck!!!!!!!! Think about!!!! Bridget is the Program Director. Anita reported to her!!!!! So it sounds like you are the dumb person!!!!!!! I am writing this because it angers me that this Anita took this position to help credit challenged people because she has an extensive real estate and banking background. And she thought it would help the people with poor credit and poor money management skills. Instead all she got was grief from alot of ignorant, uneducated folks. I speak for myself and my dear friend Anita when I say you need to look in the mirror when you wish to call someone incompetent or unprofessional or better yet call Bridget at 504-248-5525. We laugh about it all the time @ her HOME!!!!! You get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
