Luikart's Foreign Car Clinic, Waco, TX -- has had my car 3 times and it's running worse than ever; won't refund money
I originally took my car to Luikart's at the end of July 2000. They supposedly replaced the EGR valve and said there was nothing else wrong. This took 10 days. Two weeks after getting the car back, it began shaking badly when idling, the "check engine" light started coming on again just like before the supposed repairs, and just ran rougher in general. We took the car back a second time.
They had it another two days and never looked at it. I was going out of town and had to pick it up. We just took it in a third time this past Sunday October 8 because they said they wanted a chance to fix it. We gave them Monday and Tues.
They called my husband Tues. afternoon and said the car is fine, come pick it up. Today, Thursday, I drove it for the first time since Sunday. Now it will barely run. It makes a terrible whining sound upon acceleration and continues to whine. They refuse to refund our money, which is just over $400.

I have known Ken since we were teenagers working on cars together . His knowledge of cars is considerable . His honesty and integrity are unimpeachable . I would trust him to work on my automobile anytime .

What you have said about my company is just not true. If you have a real complaint, why not did you not talk to me abot it? With out your name I can not even look up your records. Posting a false anamous statmet is just not right. You and Rip Off should just be ashamed of your selves for alowing such slander. Ken Luikart

I would like to say I have known Luikart's all my life, well, for better than 55 years. I can tell you that one thing is genetic about Luikart's, they are not, inherently, thieves or ripp off artists. I don't know the particulars of this incident, but in this day of lawyers and people with little patience, I wouldn't be surprised at how someone would go to great lengths to blame someone else for their problems. If I had a lemon like your car, I'd sell it and buy a vehicle that runs. Your demeanor matches your car, its sour and a lemon.
