Lux E Cig - New ecig company product "free trial" scam - Miami Beach, Florida
This company offers a free trial of a product made by a seemingly new company just looking to get people to like their product and later start to purchase it. They only ask for a $4.95 shipping fee.
They don't make it obvious (at all) that you have 14 days from the purchase, not delivery, to call and cancel with them. It seems the "trial" is actually a test and they require your feedback within that two week period.
When you fail to do this, you will be charged an obscene amount for what they offer. They claim that because you didn't hold up your end, you pay for what they sent you. My card was charged $109.67, but others have different exact amounts, but still in that area.
They seem to think $110 is a fair amount for a battery, charger, and 5 cartridges. I have purchased a battery, charger, and 7 cartridges (7 because the battery has 2 included and refills are 5 cartridges) of a different (better) brand for $25.
If you got this deal, be sure to call and cancel payments right away. If you haven't opened it, don't; send it back.
