I contacted Mike Smith of madebyguerrilla.com to get help on a single web page that was too complicated for my CSS skills. Let me reiterate – I needed help with one single page not an entire website. We negotiated a 10 hour block of time for $400.00, half down, half upon delivery.
Mike Smith took my deposit of $200.00 and delivered nothing. I can understand being overwhelmed and falling behind but this is the work of a charlatan. He downloaded my files, spoke the language, said all of the right things. However, it became four weeks of redundant excuses, “I just got in...”, “I got pulled away...”, “I am working on it now...”, “I will send you an email when I have it uploaded...”, etc... At this point Mike Smith is not communicating with me at all.
I had read the complaints filed with the BBB before hiring Mike Smith. I gave madebyguerilla.com the benefit of the doubt based on the fact that the complaints were old and he provided links to what appear to be legit web sites. Mike was responsive and professional during initial negotiations. He remained polite and communicative right up until he stopped responding.
Madebyguerilla.com is not a legitimate business. Do not be fooled by his charlatan act.
