i purchased 2 magic jacks on 12/31/2008, they say on their page that if you use a real credit card instead of a debit card that they wont charge the card for 30 days, so instead of using my debit card i used my credit card, well guess what they charged my credit card anyways, heres the exact amounts they charged my card,

i contacted their live chat and told them this and they just kept saying oh thats not a charge thats just a hold , well if its a hold then why did the funds get removed from my account already and they say approved, they dont say hold at all, i told them if they where going to give me free 30 days then why did they even put it thru for authorization on my card at all until the 30 days was up, that would make more sense you know, but they kept beating around the bush saying oh no thats not a charge that must be your credit cards fault they said to me, well my card company says its was not their fault that magicjack company in fact put thru a pre-authorization for the full amount already, they stated that magic jack did not in fact ask for a hold at all, they just put it thru for the full amount to be approved, if you see above there is no where that says hold on the amounts on my credit card statement at all. I am very upset, when i talked to the live operator she even transfered me to another higher rep she said, but that rep also said we didnt charge you yet, when i login into the magic jack login site and put in my information they have me still showing i owe them a different amount of $97.75 which is a different amount from the amount of the order which is supposed to be only $93.80, they in fact say i will owe them the $97.75 in january, i asked why the amounts are different and she had no explanation for that one at all, i feel so fraud here happening and theres nothing i can do to get it corrected so i thought other customers should know about this,i dont know what to do, but i feel like they used a bait and switch deal here to use false advertising to lure customers in that way they tell us if we use a credit card which they know will charge interest that if we use a real credit card that they will not charge it for 30 days at all, yet they lied, they in fact did charge my card already, they just kept asking me was i sure i didnt use a debit card, my gosh i told the lady yes i know the difference between my debit cards and my credit card, when i called my credit card company they said yes in fact my card was a real credit card and they said yes in fact that magicjack did in fact put this thru as a normal purchase to be paid immediatly not later on.

please let others know of this bait and switch that magic jack is now using to defraud their customers, now not only have they stated that they didnt bill me, but come january i am afraid they will rebill me for the different amount still showing on their login page and that would mean i would have been double billed for this same item you know.

I already paid magicjack now they are trying to bill me the initial fee again

i already was billed 30 days early for the initial startup fee, i was supposed to have had the 30 days free, but they billed me early, now they are trying after 3 months to rebill me the fee again by saying i never paid it when i did i have proof on my credit card i paid them already.

they made it right and they took back the early charges on my card and the product works fantastic its wonderful, i truly believe in them now, but they need to be more understanding that if you tell someone your giving them free 30 days then they should do that and not try to sneak in charging them anyways like they did. but thanks for them taking the early charges back ,
