Marcella Digaetano Bill Collector said make money order payable to her daughter instead of company,cashed and stole $ Buffalo New York
Classic scam artist!
Marcella Digaetano called me about a debt I owed. It was an old debt and I thought it was taken care of years ago. She told me she was a paralegal and she was getting ready to sue me unless I paid today.
I paid the debt,without question. I asked if she could take a debit card or check by phone she said yes but then told me her attorney wanted a money order mailed to her.
I purchased the money orders(more than one since the limit was $1000 each) and mailed them to the "attorney".
Well it turns out that the "attorney" who I made the money order payable to was really Marcella Digaetano's daughter. The address I mailed it to was Marcella's house.
Needless to say I still owe the debt and I am out the money.
I have done a little investigating and it turns out that Marcella has done this many times before. The other parties involved in her little scam are :
Her daughter Monica, son Xavier, and her boyfriend Franklin. i also found out she isn't a paralegal and she is a convicted felon.
