McDonalds, Manager Polo Ripoff Dirty cockroaches manager yells at employees got written up for a 1 hour late when called first had to take 15 yr old to the Dr makes employees work sick even one who had strep throat i was put off work by my Dr and was made to work anyways much much more Fullerton California
McDonalds Manager Polo Dirty, cockroaches, The manager yells at the employess, I got written up for a unexcused late, (1 hour late) when i called first, had to take my 15 yr old to the Dr, and took a cab so i would be able to make it to work., makes employees work sick, getting others sick, even one who had strip throat, highly contagious, i was put off work by my Dr, and was made to work anyways. much much more!
The manager Polo is very intimadating! the employees, managers under him, are all scard of him! everyone walks on eggshells. they have cockroaches and they don't do anything about it! money is always missing from the cash registers, The customers are treated poorly, for example a reagular customer who is disabled, needs assistance getting his money out, arrying his tray, unwrapping his food etc. he ordered food and a water cup, we were busy, i took him his food, and i went to get his water cup, he waited a while already for his food, and my manager would not let me get his water cup, i was told to wait on the other customers, he walked out! It's just wrong! The customers loved me, the managers, not all of them are unethical, they gossip about employees tesion is so thick in there, i felt like i was back in high school, i was sick alot, and got in trouble for it! even though i gave 4 hours notice, was made to work when i had a Dr 's note not to work! polo made a girl who had a Dr's note work who was highly contagious with strep throat! I killed a baby cockroach crawling across the counter when i was serving the customer food, told polo he said he would take care of it, other managers there told me this was a ongoing problem he never takes care of it! there customer service there sucks! I finally quit! Im a single mom of a 15yrold on dissability, for ptsd, it was my first job since 1993,(being on ssi) doing the ticket to work program, trying to get myself back into the work place and off ssi, A Total nightmare and dissapointment!

They made me work with red eye, because it was 'black friday' a very busy time for mcd's.... I just couldnt believe it. Red eye. I wanted to go home, but the supervisor told me I couldnt. Oh well, red eye anyone?

Your employees must love you (sarcasm). Part of any successfull business is making your employees happy (not to be mistaken for letting them do what ever they want.) I agree that if you have a history of being sick and calling out that you will eventually get written up or terminated, after all part of any job responsibilty is showing up on time when scheduled. However, it is the employers responsibility is to let people recover from illnesses that are contagious (especially in the food industry) and allow for the occassional sickness from employees. After all employees are human and we all get sick. Your employees are your front line, if they are unhappy than your customer is the one who will see it and your business will feel will suffer as a result.

Dear Tulette,what has been your past work habits? As you are aware of,these people (McDonalds)has prob.1/2 the crew out on so called sick time EVERY day.I don't know about McDonalds,but I run a company of my own and I get tired of hearing it. (I'm Sick.and I can't work)I'm sorry if you have personal problems,but I need you to work.Just because someone don't want to work,they say they are sick.My guess is that you have past history of missing work and you can go to ANY doctor any he will put you off work if you want off.You are the person paying him and he is going to do what you want.These people were good enough to give you a job,the list you could do is work or get on down the road to the welfare line and quit wasteing their time.
