To, Kimberly Lebanon, Tennessee I am sorry to hear about your daughter. I would have never sold you a policy that did not cover emergency coverage's. I add emergency, accident, etc.. to every family I meet. Sometimes they can not afford what I can offer them but at least I know I tried. Please contact your agent and his or her office and complain. If you do not have the accident rider then you are subject to the deductible, and the $250 co-pay + the coinsurance. Mega was designed to cover catastrophic coverage and the other coverage is on the client. If you do not have the Care One (Plus) plan you only have 21 days for your treatment. If you where denied coverage due to a preexisting condition; once again your agent should have contacted you because it shows up on their report. My previous reply before this one it has been edited by RO and I thank them. (THANK YOU RO). It did not make sense and I apologize to anybody who read it before the editing. Even though it still does not make since I hope this message does. The two claims that you mentioned in People magazine happened over 1 or 2 years ago. They have been offered settlements, and still choose to report the information in this magazine. Mega has changed the coverage plans for the better. My wife gets the People magazine 2 weeks early. After seeing the article I decided to research several of the other health insurance company's policies and many are listed on this website with the same problems that you are facing. I can honestly say that I would have tried to make sure you had the best coverage possible for your family. I would have insisted on the plus plan and if you couldn't afford it I would have left you some names of other agents who could have helped you. Once again I am truly sorry for your troubles and experience with Mega Life & Health.

Maybe you should have mentioned the office your agent works for so that the public will know what you have purchased and who from. I am not knocking your family or the compliments, but with so many complaints maybe somebody from your neighborhood would like to have the same type of coverage you have. from your local mega agent. thx.

My family has been on a Mega policy for 5 1/2 years now. The new policies they have out now are absolutely wonderful. Now...my family does not have pre-existing conditions that were not disclosed at the time of application! I think this is where the entire problem lies. We have no copays when the kids get sick and I have to take them to the Dr. and we also do not have a deductible that has to be met before our coverage kicks in. We had an ER visit recently and it cost a total of $150.00. Exactly as our agent mentioned. I think you simply did not understand the policy and add all of the riders you should have. This is not all your fault, your agent should have provided you with this information. Our agent is ver attentive and is always looking out for our best interest. He even calls when a new and better product comes out. I feel for you, but you have be honest on an application and know exactly what you are taking off the policy if you are trying to save money. I think if you look at the reports on other insurance companies, you will probably find similiar complaints. Personally, I love our policy through Mega Life and Health and would reccomend it to any and all!
