They are not a big company actually fairly small with maybe 15 salespeople, they buy lists from the same place anybody else can INFO USA. There are some good people there but, most aren't. Looking to fleece you for money and honestly know that their product doesn't work most of the time.

Amanda, Let me first offer a response to your following statement, and I quote: "Alot of it too has to do with the sales person that talks to the lead...they have to make the customer want the product, in your case, fixed mortgages... " I can tell for sure, but it seems to me you are taking a swipe at my sales ability, so let me explain something to you. Donald Trump can't convince a borrower with a 5.5% fixed rate with no debt to refinance for a rate at least a point higher (which is exactly the type of leads I was receiving), so what is your point? If you like working for the company ,great! You should. You have to go there every day and collect a paycheck, so you might as well be comfortable there. I gave what I felt was a fair assessment of the company you work for. I gave positive as well as negative feedback and was willing to just move on from the experience, but for the SECOND time, someone within Metro who had nothing to do with my case felt the need to give their 2 cents. Don't question my sales ability. I probably make closing one loan what you make in 2 months. Let's all move on what our lives. Let sleeping dogs lie.

Metro Marketing also does leads for Chiropractors and getting them people to come in for free screenings and consults. 95 percent of the time The doctors are satisfied with their turn out...others, well...lets just say that your not alone in the dissatisfaction with Metro...and for that I apologize. Alot of it too has to do with the sales person that talks to the lead...they have to make the customer want the product, in your case, fixed mortgages... most of these calls are handled by temps who really don't give a flying fig who they sell to. But we are a legitamate telemarketing company, and one of the more honest ones I've had the pleasure of working for. Again Im sorry for your experience.

As promised a month ago, I would publicly give an update of my experience with this company. Here it is: THE GOOD: Christina (the manager there) seemed to understand my concerns and tried to work with me. Though still not the 2/28s and 3/27s they advertised (and STILL do!), the leads were of a little better quality. The only problem was, I would go a week at a time without seeing a lead, as, according to Christina, she was screening the leads before they were released. She probably was, but the problem is...... THE BAD: The list they use is horrible! As I've stated to Christina personally and probably mentioned here, if this is such a big company, they should be able to buy a list that correlates to what they're advertising. 90-95% of these people had fixed rates, and most of the loan sizes were under 100K. Christina (or anyone else from Metro Marketing reading this), my advice is if you change your lists, the postings on this site would probably be eliminated! I even offered my list from a company I've used for almost 3 years and was told the guarantee wouldnt stand. Who cares about your guarantee when it takes almost 2 months to get me 28 qualified leads! While I understand that ANY telemarketing firm you use are going to have leads that shouldnt be leads, the problem here is clearly the list. THE UGLY: When I wrote the original post on this site, I also filed a complaint with the BBB, before I spoke with Christina in an attempt to resolve this issue. Several days ago, I get a response from Jay McLeod from Metro Marketing who basically admitted they advertise ARMS but since it wasnt specifically in the contract, they shouldnt have to honor it. Yes Jay, I admit, I should have made sure everything was SPECIFICALLY written in the contract, but that does not excuse your company from advertising a product, sign someon up, and give them something completely different. Again, I apologize (publicly this time) for my profane message to you; however, when you deceive people out of their hard earned money, this, unfortunately, is what happens. DON'T ADVERTISE A PRODUCT YOU CAN'T DELIVER!! To sum it all up, I want to thank Christina for at least making an effort to give me leads of improved quality. However, my opinion of their marketing practices leave a lot to be desired, and their target lists are abominable. If you sign up with them (or any lead company), make sure you get EVERYRHING IN WRITING! Jay taught us you cannot trust anyone. I hoped this not only helps the consumers reading this, but it helps Metro put out a better product. I assure you, it will increase your bottom line.

Since writing the original post, I have spoken with Christina, who has assured me this company will do right by me, and I am giving her the opportunity to do so. I have and will continue to expose companies that victimize consumers, but in an act of fairness, I needed to publicly announce this. I will update this site further upon final resolution, either way it goes.
