Microsoft Xbox 360 Credit card TRAP a'la AOL - easy sign up but HUGE PIA to delete Redmond Washington
If you have an Xbox 360 and you or your kids play Xbox live DO NOT PUT A CREDIT CARD ON THE ACCOUNT!!!!! If you do there is no way to delete the card other than calling the company and talking to 3-4 different customer service reps for 45 minutes....and then being told it takes 2-4 weeks to get it off. It was an unbelievable nightmare!!!!!
Apparently Microsoft has taken some lessons from AOL and make it as difficult as possible to remove a service after signing up. I guess they are worried about fraud right? Well then I guess fraud is OK when it benefits their company but not when it hurts them, else they would make the sign up process as difficult as the sign off right? And there is not even a warning pop-up when you add the CC which tells you what a nightmare it will be if you enter the info. Ridiculous!!!! And it's been going on for years now.
Have your kids buy Microsoft points at their local retail store instead and save yourself a lot of trouble and stress.
