Midland Credit Management ripoff San Diego, California
I am writing this to inform you that
Midland Credit Management is attempting to collect on old Providian national accounts in Connecticut. I was one of these individuals they attempted to collect. Providian made an agreement with the state several years ago and has failed to live up to their agreement. For years I have attempted to get the credit reporting agentices to remove Providian from my reports. They checked with Providian and refused to remove the false reports. I contacted Providian and asked them too take me to court, so that I could get before a judge, they declined and wrote it off ( charge off). They then sold this along with many others to Midland.
Midland contacted me and attempted to collect this debt. They also posted this to my credit report and changed the dollar amount slightly so as to look different form Providian. After many attempts to have them remove their claim or go too court, they still haven't done either. I have written many letters with no response from either. Neither of them can produce any documents other than an account statements. They cannot produce any documents to support their claim; Providian had added member fees, credit protection insurance, illegal interest fees and illegal late fees. To date only $56.00 has been adjusted. They added over $800.00 in illegal fees. So I have contacted a lawyer and now will sue all for defamation of character and mental anguish. All, by meaning Equifax, Tansunion,Experian, Midland, and Providian.
