Monitronics Stay away from Monitronics Dallas Texas
I have signed up with Monitronics a year ago and had problems with the door mointors since the first month. 2 weeks after installation the battery of one moitor went off and woke us up in the middle of the night. Repair was difficult to schedule (4 days), then their service company had not time to come within 10 days, then they did not turn up. After more than 6 weeks they came and replaced the battery. A false alarm went off on the same door 2 weeks after that again. This kept repating itself every two months - on the same door!
The wake ups at night, the nuissance with the slow repairs and faulty equipment is by far outsripping the theoretical service we had for a small part of the full year. Reading the horror stories on the web about the difficulties cancelling their service is outright scary.
I recommend to stay away from this company.
